@TR_123456 @boredaf imo the biggest deterence will be if we can detect, saturate and sink every kind of ship by targeting from our mainland.
Because imo the only way to successfully invade Türkiye would be by sea.
That's why ASBM versions of TAYFUN/CENK are so important for us.
Yes, we should be able to neutralize aircraft carriers for our survival. TAYFUN/CENK are very important for stationary targets like air fields, military infrastructure etc. but it is a very difficult task to hit moving targets with them. The easiest way is to use Super Simsek or Harop style drones to saturate carrier group defences and then once the defence gets weaker, attack it with ANKA-3 (or a larger version to carry more payload) type stealth drones carrying SOM-J. Of course, the numbers should be sufficient (at least 50 Anka-3 each with 2 SOM-J). For the initial saturation one would need around 500 Super Simsek (including the depletion of most air-to-air missiles of the fighter jets). These have only a range of 800km. So we either need to improve this, and/or find larger carriers for them (maybe ANKA-4). The capability to saturate the ADs of the carrier group with reasonable costs is essential. The total costs per carrier group should not exceed 500m USD. Of course, to defend those ANKA-4 we'd need to send numerous Kizilelmas as well. If each SS costs 200'000USD, then 500 of them would cost 100m USD. This is not much. As ANKA-3/4 will deliver its payload from at least 500km away from the carrier, most of them will be out of harm's way and one can also send 50 KE to protect them.

Is it possible to hit a land mark with RF seeker, photos from for sea target and land target.Should it be IIR seeker. But roketsan make a strange way to do,a top attack for the target near sea ,like on the island,or a warship near island.Greek loves that tactics for fast attack crafts.I am glad to see we solve the problems without IIR seeker, may be its for logistic purpose,or top angle attack is hard to defend with convantional guns of 20mm.Even our 35mm gökdeniz cannot stop for that angle of attack.

Isn't the real issue for radar guided missiles like Atmaca being used against land targets the ground clutter? Probably will need few more tests in more realistic environments.
In my opinion they are simulating shore-based targets. Atmaca, like other anti-ship missiles has a top-attack mode, or approach pattern for low profile targets (i.e. attack boats, berthed ships).
This is just an addition over earlier capability, where they simulated GPS guidance and dive at the given target.
Turkish Navy will also acquire Atmaca-IIR and Hybrid guidance versions which will make a lot more sense for shore based or inland targets that doesn't require Tercom-like guidance.

It is nice to hear that Atmaca archieved a Succes in the latest Tests.

I have another Question. In 2022 the Barbaros coastal Defence System was succesfully tested and in 2024/25 Cakir was integrated in the Barbaros System. Till now Barbaros was not inducted in turkish Navy Invertory. With the Deployment of Eu Vessels in the Waters arround Cyprus we face a dangerous Gap, by not having the Capabillity to conduct Land launched Strikes against enemy Vessels.

Are our 8x8 trucks modular?
If yes i don't think we will ever hear about BARBAROS deliveries. Important is that both ATMACA and ÇAKIR are already in serial production. No?

Speaking of BARBAROS, I think this is important, especially down in the south (Damn, talk about the good timing for TÜBİTAK's recap)

Some interesting things from TÜBİTAK 2025 report.

A contract modification to increase the range and capabilities of Gökhan has been made and contract for a new Gökhan block was signed. New block Gökhan will be one of the longest range air to air missiles in NATO inventory

Integration of Bozdoğan, Gökdoğan, Gökhan and Som-J to Kaan's IWB and HGK, kgk and SOM to external hard points have been on going

Integration of air to air missiles to Kızılelma, Akıncı and Anka-3 planned

SOM-J live warhead test and qualification is in the 2025 report too. Which from my understanding means that the footage we saw recently is at least 3 months old

1700 HGK's delivered to air force

Kuzgun ky-1 was test fired from 8 packed launcher on a Marlin Sida

Gökdoğan was fired by F-16 özgür with an Murad AESA radar(which we already knew afaik but confirmation is nice)

Very nice and informative article hovewer is this sentence unfinished or am I misunderstanding:

"Such radars are set up as fixed sites due to the amount and size of antennas required, and can be considered on a more strategic level compared to a generic transportable radar that performs direct search. Due to the frequency band, these radars"

Feels like it should continue but it ends abruptly.
