According to @SavunmaSanayiST.com, Construction of TTAB goes on silently. Having any info @Anmdt ?
I saw it too this morning and thought we’re not going to here anymore about it.
If they’re being built in open shipyards where satellites can capture pictures and such our adversaries would know about it and notify a certain gnat nation about it. And they’ll up the level of provocation.

No bro, he is either mistaken few things as "construction" or typed "design" as "construction. TTHB is awaiting approval to pass onto 3rd phase, construction-detail design. At the best chance, steel cutting will be held only for ceremonial purposes by end of the year.

There are uncertainities in the project, it will be resolved in SSIK. We may hear something totally new to all of us, too. Something i have hinted months ago about evolution of the design.
Turkish type Assault Boat. The selected boats will be one of the modified STM concepts (FAC55 and MPAC)

MPAC's architecture is being adopted for TTHB, it was as such in the latest iteration that is used in contract design phase (ongoing stage of the design). However SSIK will be resolution for all the mistery, i presume. For now the foreseen unit cost has reached $150mil and even passed it.

With so many designs aren’t there any design approved by TN. If we keep changing design to changing threat then we will have to ask our adversaries to take a break so we can start building something.

also doesn’t that mean our old ships are not fit for the threats existing today ?

better to have 1 bird in hand than 10 on the roof.

There is nothing wrong about the designs, FAC-55 was merely done without TN's involvement by consideration of operational requirements by STM, a good design but limited space focusing on oldschool but true FAC tactics. Then TTHB was done (design is clear and available, just not to public) by involvement of the TN to adopt modern warfare techniques (better sensors, EA - ED, etc and more space for additional items). Then, STM has generated an spinoff design MPAC, sharing the similar architecture with TTHB but streamlined and customized in sensors and equipments for export market.

In short TTHB is for TN, MPAC for exports.

Do we know when the next SSIK is? Supposedly the tender results for the production of the remaining three I-Class Frigates is supposed to be announced too.

I was expecting June - July, months of delay is not really good for some projects awaiting the approval.

Tf2000, the most powerful warship project of our history which will be a new milestone in firepower, deep strike and area defense, is about to start.

The construction of the Milden submarine which will have a power multiplier effect under the water and will radically change the Turkish war tactics and doctrine, will begin in 3 years

Strategically important for effective underwater strike tactics in shallow waters, especially in Aegean, the STM500 submarine is currently in production

The first of the I class frigates with domestic systems/missiles from top to down will be delivered within 1 year and the shipyard will be selected for production of the remaining 3 frigates in this year. The Turkish Republic will manufacture 3 frigates simultaneously for the first time in its history.

Production of the Turkish type assault boat project is aimed to start this year and the total number of production will reach 10 if nothing changed

Production of the first of the Hisar class OPVs continues and a total of 10 production is planned.

Turkish intelligence ship with special abilities is currently in inventory.

4 different companies are developing and producing USVs in different configurations and a decision is awaited for them to enter the inventory.

The design of a multifunctional frigate which will be larger than I class is in progress.

The development of 4 different types of aircraft (TB3, KizilElma, Hürjet, Atak-2) that can land and take off on the TCG Anadolu type ships continues.

The extent of the obstacles created for Turkiye which continues to grow with such a comprehensive strategy, is getting more serious day by day. Production strategies are being developed under embargoes in almost every field, from ceramic powder used in sonar production to the main naval gun, vertical launch system, air defense systems and radars. With the successful localization of the system, embargoes have advanced to the level of raw materials this time. In some very critical sectors, even production benches are within the embargo. The same is being done for engine projects too.

If they had good intentions and were not afraid of the strong Turkiye they would see in next 10 years, they would not have taken such actions and chosed to cooperate with stronger Turkiye to establish closer friendships but they obviously dream of a weak Turkiye in the region for their own interests. Currently, we have a mature industry that can overcome these embargoes in almost every field and offer more capable solutions to the field in a short time. As these systems mature on the field, someone will be disappointed but the Turkish Republic will continue to do what is right for itself.
It is good to have all of these. But they are on the paper mostly. We are late. We need to produce quickly and see them in sufficient quantities on the sea and in the air. I hear for example Marlin being praised a lot. Just arm it appropriately with Orca and Kuzgun or small Atmaca and produce 30 of them. But even the latter are still on the paper, whereas the enemy does not wait. We need to get going.

@altay you are right bro , Turkiye is late , ww3 can happen soon perhaps 2023 or 2024 while Turkiye still dont have modern airforce or warships . While all the projects of land , air, and sea are collected st same time and wating to be produced , but can Turkiye produce so many warships , drones and aircrafts at the same time ?
Stm 500, 10 OPV , 10 FAC, 3 i Class and some others are on production at the same time ?! Does this damage the Turkish economy?
I belive some projects will be delayed unfortunalty or will be produced slowly like milgems .
If everything goes ok , Turkiye should wait until 2035 to have modern airforce and navy . I hope ww3 dont happent until then.

it won't damage the economy, at all

Current budget is around 1.1 Percent of GDP and spending is even less

That's the real matters. Turkiye is at the last corner before the sprint and if there is no road accident (WW, economic crisis or regional war), The sprint will begin within 1 year. One of the reasons for the geopolitic problems that plague us is to prevent us from taking this action. We know that FETO terrorists also targets naval projects/officials first and according to the SSB's statement, naval projects are the projects that take the largest share of the pie in the Turkish defense industry and have one of the largest budget in a single item. That's why we have to be very careful. These systems will completely change the way the game is played on the field and our deterrence.

I hear you guys. In fact, loud and clear ;)
Yes, I wish we had done things earlier and faster but I am personally at a point to appreciate what Turkish industry has achieved within this time frame. There’s only so much can be done.

The truth is we started our own damn defense industry from scratch (with the exception of Aselsan, MKEK, and Tusas. Please don’t kill me) and worked to establish an efficient and hopefully sufficient industry with enough know how and technological output so that every other component supplement and feed each other.
In other word, we created our own independent and self sustaining defense ecosystem. Obviously, not level with the US or major EU countries and maybe never will be but it’s there now and as long as we don’t screw it up and keep enhancing and coordinating it, it will only grow stronger.

In conclusion, as much as I agree with you on every single fact you put forth, I’m also inclined to believe that only this much could be done at this particular time.

I would disagree with EU, their systems are mostly made with US influence, self sustainability here is much higher here I would say

Influence, you are right. The US is still the most influential military technology producer in the world. The only exception of course, as usual, is Israel. And keep China out as they are totally different story

What I meant when I said major EU countries was that, although they tend to incorporate US hardware to their products (mainly due to economic concerns) their industries are perfectly capable to create any hardware when they joint venture a project.
But then again not dead set on self-sustainability as much as Turkey. You re right there, too.

I appreciate of course what has all been achieved recently. I don’t think we are doing enough sacrifice currently as a nation. We should currently allocate at least 5% of our GDP for Defence, preferably more. We are allocating 2% currently. If you say there are indirect investments going on, I would still say add %3 more. At this point none of our people need iPhones or bmw. I am talking from a war economy almost. We are still very bad in terms of numbers. Does anyone know how many Korkut systems do we have now? Are we defending our key facilities enough? With regards to your other point. We have intelligent and creative people. We are more pragmatic. I have worked more than 20 years with quant PhDs from best universities. They are not better than us. But they are disciplined, very diligent, and focused. We can as a nation offer the framework to our people to be better than Europe and come closer to America. But we have management, organization, and motivation problems. We also have many people in high places who just care about their own pocket and power. That is eating my country alive unfortunately. We have too many passive traitors. I call passive because through their laziness, lack of motivation, or lack of competence they harm the country. And in our country most people who can help and want to help are somehow alienated and don’t get to those positions.

We are not even allocating 2 percent, I don't get why why why.

Why the fuck 1.2 percent, maybe örtülü ödenek covers the rest 0.8

Because goverment is spending more money to try cover up their screw ups and because Mehmetcik is considered disposible by government. That’s the truth. They’re using all kinds of excuses to postpone the expenses. Let’s say they want a better design so they initiate it and spend a few mio usd worth on it while they take billions usd to housing projects and such, or refugee or something else.

They keep the budget amount fixed, turn it into TL, claim they make it cheaper and what not. At the end of the day what they’re hinting but not saying outright is we can get the stuff for 50% of the defense budget. Which means the remaining amount that can be spent on something else, but not direct procurement from FNSS or such. Goes elsewhere.

Hidden embargoes and such are imo a cover word used also when government postpones the spendings and shift it elsewhere. There is a reason for transparancy rules and such. By not being transparent and screwing tenders up how can we as patriots be sure they’re not moving the money to their yandas.

We do not need political brown noses, nor religious ones.
