Not necessarily, Ship and the VLS probably have different testing schedules. But 14 months have passed since the first MIDLAS test and it is yet to be test fired on a ship, so we can assume Istanbul won't be a fully combat ready ship for a long while.

What time? Did they test midlas and misile 1 years ago ? Just put that missile in midlas and its ok until Siper b1 is ready . I thought Hisar is ready but not siper . Now both of them are not ready . I am upset

I may have mentioned it somewhere in this thread, but there are two distinct projects being run by ASFAT and SSB.

Ground tests could have been conducted. But need to test integration with the radar in real conditions.

Again, Oerlikon 35mm guns were modernized to use the same fire control system to be used with aa missile batteries, but they are not an inseparable part of them. We just put 35mm guns with Hisar batteries under the same control system to make them operate together. They also operate completely...

This is a separate project run by ASFAT (Contracted to group of companies and i only know of Sonitus), STM&Altınay's project is altogether different.

Good news from SSB about SAPAN Air Defense Missile

Making a speech at the ceremony, Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün announced that the SAPAN Air Defense Missile will soon enter the inventory. SAPAN was developed by Roketsan based on the HİSAR-RF Air Defense Missile used in the HİSAR-O+ Air Defense System. The SAPAN Missile, which will be fired from the National Vertical Launch Launcher System (MIDLAS) integrated into the TCG İSTANBUL Frigate (F-515), has also been made suitable for naval combat conditions.

In that case if the tweet I quoted is correct, Sonitus is both leading its own project and is also a subcontractor for Altınay.

The source was unclear about the contractors involved in the projects*. Sonitus provided the rail components for ASFAT's projects** in collaboration with Berkin Engineering, who was responsible for the sensor-control systems, and HeliPlat, who handled the integration (With three, it made the whole). It is my understanding that Altınay's mechanical contractor was not Sonitus.

*The source also appears to be unaware of two separate projects. It is literally like who on earth launches two simultaneous projects to replace ASIST.

It is MILDAS model. VLS hatches are open while missiles are climbing up.

How can it be a MIDLAS model, when you can only see the hatches? Like i wrote before, it shows the missiles, which can be fired from MIDLAS.
