How can it be a MIDLAS model, when you can only see the hatches? Like i wrote before, it shows the missiles, which can be fired from MIDLAS.
It's normal for VLS models to be showing only the protruding part and not the underside. I had thought maybe it could be the sensor mast for Milden or something before taking a closer look.

It is only a protective cover for a display of missile scale models (?)

What issues?
Not Issues, I misspoke, I was referring to speculations recently. I expect that RTE will say a few things in between the lines of his speech about the targets for the post MILDEN phases. Maybe something about nuclear propulsion for the first time... What makes me think so is the fact that RTE is not afraid to make reflecting Navy's ideals about its vision of the future in such speeches.

But surely it would be better not to reveal anything unnecessary so that we don't get additional hindrances on our path.

So true.
He learned that whatever goals he wants to reach can’t be done without a powerful navy.

Also true. Sometimes he talks too much to reveal intensions instead of keeping Turkey’s adversaries playing guessing games what would and could Turkey do.

I nearly forgot because all the hype around AC. I recall someone saying once that a big supply vessel (like dimdeg) could also serve as a drone carrier of sorts and would be easier to design.

I think it was @Anmdt, but please don't kill me if I remember wrong. :D

Could that still be a solution for a drone carrier ?

Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün: "At the SSİK meeting held on January 8, it was decided to start the construction of a total of 19 ships."
8 (OPV) + 4 (I-Class) + 2 (LST) + 4 (MCMW) + 1 (TTHB)

This is my breakdown that i can fit to 19 (details below).

4 NG MCMW vessel to repace 5 Engin Class, prototype of TTAB, 2 LST as presumed as "options" from earlier times. to replace 2 Bey Class.

Iran style? :) DIMDEG will carry USV's and VTOL UAVs anyway.

Dear,What does MCMW stand for ?
Mine countermeasure warfare.

If 4 new generation MCMW vassels come with an early schedule as stated by ANMDT üstad, this shows that we will become one of the few most elite navies in the world in terms of platform competence, and we are already one of the top 3 navies in NATO in terms of expert personnel in this field.

Additional note: MCMW vassels are also highly capable naval assets that can also be used for underwater tactical picture or supporting oceanographic activities, and even for conducting offshore patrol activities.

There is another detail worth discussing from my point of view:

I assume that what is meant by the new generation landing ships will be the continuation of the Bayraktar class, which was already planned as 2+2 when this program first started.

There is no need to elaborate too much on some things, I am not going to go into why we need so many heavy ships that can beaching capability, but I prefer to see this planning expanded to amphibious support ships with more LPD-like vassels, I mean at least the ability to hangar and maintain multiple heavy helicopters. If the design of the Bayraktar class is to be followed, I expect to see significant improvements on the superstructure. I don't know if the bridge position can be brought forward by moving the cranes where the 4 LCVs are positioned further forward, that is, by sacrificing the area where the vehicles and materials are parked on the upper deck, but in this way, a huge closed hangar area can be created. As far as I know, the aft deck area already provides enough space for the landing and take-off of all heavy helicopters in the inventory, including the Chinooks.

I mean:

One of the USV procurement will be of MCM focused. Dearsan has one MCM vessel design but i think that was for earlier times, or a foreign customer. That would be lovely to have something like Belgian MCMW vessel, will increase the capability of TN.

For anyone counting tonnage, TN has commissioned 35000+ tonnes in sum, yesterday. :)

Havelsan's Sancar is the only that is mentioned as MCM USV on SSB's website:

So far as i understand for the projects granted by SSB the breakdown of tasks are as follows (that i may have mentioned earlier in somewhere).

Sefine & Aselsan for the EW and ASuW USV,
Ares & Meteksan for ASW,
Yonca & Havelsan for MCM.

Dearsan is the lone manufacturer benefiting from Aselsan's technological gains in the SSB project.

It is important to note that this information pertains only to Phase-I, and there will be more phases to follow.

TCG Istanbul is much more than a warship. I know it is cliche to write about it all the time, but it is a real breakthrough. Our valuable members in the forum have written dozens of things about the reasons for this, maybe hundreds of pages could be written, but this importance cannot be fully underlined. Let's take a look at the mini-clip prepared by STM about the TCG Istanbul localization rate, which is a summary of all these and which everyone will realize this importance when they watch it:

For the Turkish defense industry, at least for the naval forces, the embargo is no longer an obstacle. On the contrary, it is producing an exponential strengthening of the naval forces.
