4 unmanned target having smaller RCS than a SIGMA and having potential to reach the speeds of 50-60kts If It is requested.
I know Yonca-Onuk can reach 76.4 knots. If Ares could do 50-60 knots as well that would be something in the Aegean.

They reduced number of engines from 2 to 1, and speed has changed from 45+ to 35+, (speaking for 11 meters version)
Probably for generators to supply electronics,and to increase range.
Not a big deal to add one more engine and make it 45+ , by sacrificing range.
Rear-mounted engines has their advantages when it comes to maintenance and replacement, better choice than inbuilt engines like YO's in case of operating from a Mothership. Yet they are prone to be slower.

Even 25 meter version seems to have access to the machinery which will possibly be easy to replace and maintain.

Expanding on Mr Cabatli’s message;
If you have say 4 basic models of Ulaq that constitutes a full fledged frigate‘s job description. Then you can have multiples of these ; and if one single unit is shot there is always another one of the same to take it’s place. So your “sigma” set up stays intact.

But a frigate has multiple tasks and equipment for those task. The Ulaq doesn't because of the size restrictions. Or am I misunderstanding you?

A little bit. I am expanding on Mr Cabatli’s message. What I am saying is with 4 or 5 individual units performing some of the tasks of a frigate , even if 1 Ulaq is shot, there will always be another one to take it’s place. Hence keeping the team intact. Yet if a frigate is shot. It is out of commission altogether.
Even if a team of 4-5 Ulaq’s can not be as versatile and well equipped as a frigate, it will still be performing it’s duties even one unit is shot. And that unit can be readily replaced.

Exciting news. How do these small ships perform in high seas? Also wonder about the cost of these, is it worth the bang for buck?

Looking forward to see an unmanned submarine in the future too.

Turkey is testing the interoperability of Turkish drones with Atak helicopters. Imagine naval Atak-2 carrying Temren anti-ship missile stationed on TCG Anadolu. Swarm Ulaq USV team are sharing the target datas with Atak-2 simultaneously and Atak-2 pilots are taking position to strike the enemy in passive mode without entering into the RAM missile range of enemy ships. Same thing can be considered for FAC-55 carrying multiple MRAShM or Atmaca. The FAC-55 operators will fire the anti-ship missiles against the targets locked by Ulaq. Send unmanned platforms to detect the positions of enemy and fire the missiles from thr safe distances. Everybody is talking about benefits of this concept but A few state has ability of performing such a capability that is needing very advanced network technology. Turkey/Azerbaijan tested this concept (not same with naval concept but similar in many aspect) to detect the exact location of Armenian SAM batteries by sending AN-2 drones. While Armenians were convinced that they had gained a victory by shoting down ancient AN-2, Turkish drone team supported by EW jammers found them and joined into their celebration by dropping a few MaM-L. In a few months, we will see Turkish drones are launching target drones carrying some EW sensors as well. This will be applied before entering into a zone that was protected by SAM batteries. Goksungur jet drone will provide similar capabilities to manned fighters including Tf-X. Now, we will see the similar concept in Naval warfare as well but Naval concept will have capability of not only detecting the enemy but also neutralising them thanks to different variants of similar platforms.

2- 12 meters ISR/EW USV
3- 14-16 meters Mine countermeasure USV
4- 25 meters ASuW USV

What is expected:
7 meters Fast interception USV
14-16 meters ASW USV
12 meters Short range AD USV (Sungur)
14-16 meters ASuW (Medium Range SSM or other NLOS)

Take the 25 meter USV as a basis for ADS, ASuW, ASW and EW for a 4 ship hunter fleet capable of defending itself while going on a surface- and sub-surface hunt.

ADS with MAR/KALKAN 3d Radar, electro-optical sight, 8 cell Hisar A/O/G40 and 8 Sungur mounted in those Cirit pods.
ASuW with radar, 8x MRAShM/Temren or 4x Atmaca, 4/8 UMTAS
ASW with littoral sonar and automatic VDS or TAS, lightweight torpedoes, depth charges, ASROC etc.
EW with mini Koral or REDET.

There is one more armed/unarmed USV or a ROV-RHIB for humanitarian or warfare missions. at the stern ramp, the length is around ~7-7.5 meters.
