See Ukrainian Ada-Class for example. It is pretty common with Ada-Class and VLS integration is more of a retrofit than a redesign (along with other additions). It all matters to keep VLS clean and with self-exhausts or cold launch to optimize space and installation.

Ukranian Ada is similar to Ada MLU but some items are missing.

I appreciate their work and comments but in response to your words of ' TN should take a note' ; TN has Armerkom and DPO. I am sure even themselves wouldn't say such words for their work as in ' TN should take a note of our work '.
Correct me if I remember wrong, but didn't we discuss this earlier and I remember it as that all space on Naval vessels are meticulously planned for and if a space isn't reserved for e.g. VLS. then finding additional space would be more difficult.

I also remember someone mentioning VLS cold launching from the sides like depicted in the image.

Just curious because it seems like we're looking at retrofitting because of poor planning :(

Their is VLS and then there is "VLS". MICA, Albatros, CAMM/ER, ESSM are rather short missiles that does not require strike length (7.7+meters) modules for installation. These missiles, except ESSM, are usually preferred in their own canister-launchers. ESSM is more favored in quad-packed form within normal VLS.

If referring to strike length modules then you are right, it is not feasible or even doable in some cases if not sufficient space has spared or deck plans - structural plans prepared accordingly. But for self-defense / point defense systems the installation is rather easy. You might also remember MK56 launcher for ESSM that can be installed above the deck.

And Ada-Class was easily adapted for MICA launchers for Ukrainian Ada Class project. I would say even deck plans were effected little to none during production. I would say someone has considered a certain modification for Ada-Class during 2000s when the design is created and spared certain locations, maybe not VLS but some other equipment in mind, but those spots and spaces can be repurposed for different needs. I would say Ada-Class is quite flexible except its propulsion where they focused on space efficiency rather than flexibility for that part.

7th of December, if not delayed once again, will be parade of Naval Programs at the SSIK.

Not sure how many of them will be disclosed, and how many of them will be mentioned within "some other projects are discussed and finalized" without naming and keeping them secret.

  • TTAB
  • I class 6-7-8 serial modernization
  • Tf2000
  • MILDEN
  • 2+10 Hisar OPV shipyard selection for options
  • Akya+ HWT serial production

Bro, It is likely that many of these projects will now be formalized by the incoming SSIK

Btw there was a shipyard in İzmir named Kızılelma which is the biggest in Turkey. Media introduced it to the people as the Turkish Aircraft Carrier will built here in the future etc. Do you think that we can have it by 2030s guys?

300meters is not enough for an AC that Turkey would've wanted. All the AC in the world are about 300meters and US's are way above that.

I assume the length has to be bigger than that despite ship's shorter length at the bottom. Also, there is absolutely no facility in that picture, it's all hills and green. What is the purpose of this?

So an on-deck variant will also be developed. Excellent news. There must be plans to integrate even very small platforms. A product that will take the throne of fast-forty is coming.
Most probably with programmable smart ammunitions

The day they revealed new Hisar-RF and Siper Block-0/1 i told you all that is going to be a naval missile, will be quadpacked and used in MIDLAS consequently the changes in the missiles were stemming from navy's requirements. While some sources kept claiming "Hisar-D is a different missile than Hisar-RF", today we have seen Hisar-D is Hisar-RF with an optional algorithm (the parts that we don't see) to engage sea-skimming targets and navalized in certain components.

Will US vls systems be swapped out with MIDLAS. And how easy will it be to swap it out. I’m thinking of those countries in the world who may have vls.

I am not so sure US will deliver any AShM to us anymore.

Structural connectors are pretty common with Mk41 thus it shouldn't be a hard task to swap if it becomes necessary (speaking for Barbaros Class at least since they are presumed to be in service past - 2030).
But to sell VLS one should have close relations with the customer since selling VLS also means to sell the set of the missiles.

Thus, the only foreign-sourced weapon/cms system left for the TF-2000 project is the 127mm main gun, which will probably be available until 2027, as like SIPER-ABM.

Then we should focus on marine engines. Is there any news from Zorya Baykar partnership?
