@Anmdt Is there any estimate how much each I class is costing for Turkish Navy?

Not sure if negotiations (on price basis) are completed for the remaining three hulls. SSB was conducting meetings with suppliers (including Aselsan, Roketsan et al.) and bargaining. That may only be known after these are completed.

So the contract of hull and weapons and sensors are made separately, not like there is a main contractor and the contract made just with them.

There are rumours about Freedom class to be sold to Romania

They will go with the US. They, as @Anmdt mentioned, need credit. Wouldn't surpise me if they just straight up buy Freedom-Class LCS the US intends to decommission in the near future.

On the topic of more VLS for follow on Istif-Class:

The information that the number of VLSs will increase on the three ships of the class is not correct. Both STM GM Mr. Güleryüz as well as Roketsan GM Mr. Ikinci told this openly in our interviews. HİSAR-D Block II will have a quadpack structure, so more missiles will be carried.

It will be saddening to see them going for US weapon systems instead of Turkish ones. Hope they figure out someday that it’s a double edged sword being buddies with the US.
On another note, I’ll freely admit that I’m filled with joy as the French ended up with a big bupkis. Like I’ve said before, I don’t wanna see them establish any military relations with the region countries.

Low acoustic signature, low rcs signature, counter-torpedo capable, more warship minded design (ehm, looking at you LCS and Damen), AESA sensors, "continious 360 degree" IRST, mid-range air defence, main shipyards & heavy maintenance centers are just few hundred nm away, and all of this package probably has lesser cost than others.

2 different users in Black Sea.

6 ships currently sailing, and 11+ ships in produce !

I don't know what to say.

Milgem might be a possibility. All of our opinions are speculations right now, mine included.

Let's see...

If you don't have preexisting beef with USA, it is a very good idea for small countries to get under US wings.
And Romania is already a strategic frontier for USA as they host the US AEGIS ASHORE ICBM interceptors.

Absolutely. And when you add the fact that the small country is a NATO member who is only one small country (Moldova) away from Russia with a breakaway “state” under the influence of the latter, near the battle zone, it makes sense.

If you are thinking about the LCS or MMSC frigate then I don't think they will end up in Romania. Most likely it will end up in a country with huge strategic importance to the US interest. Either it's Poland, Morocco, Taiwan etc...

LCS decommission in the future? You are not up to date....newly build are being decommissioned right after they are finished build....nobody want these p.o.s ships, even USN themselves...I don't want to elaborate further, just ask google amca
An example one brandnew build, first ever trip sailed to Australia to show flag and after returning home will be decommissioned

It's such a disaster. They don't allow thei navy to decommision ships they don't want and can't use. It's just political stuff to make sure companies get paid despite delivering sub par products. I can't see anyone else wanting them, it is estimated to take billions of dollars to make LCS ships actually useful and sea worthy especially early hulls. Ada class would be so much better for any Navy with such a need.

Just in, Romania cancelled their 4 Gowind class corvette purchase which was signed in 2019, which was fraught with issues. Damen also didn't work before this. Freedom Class and the Ingalls' NSC based design are what's left. 7 years later, they have nothing to show for. They did join PESCO's European Patrol Corvette program, but that project is still many years away.

Ada Class would be a nice, easy to build and cheap option.

I hadn't seen this. Ada Class TCG Kınalıada is currently docked in Constanta for "Romanian Navy Day"

Probably unrelated and it's just a coincidence, she was just available for the port call, but maybe not.

DEARSAN's project development activities and vision in foreign markets are truly a role model. Especially the African region offers serious potential for companies operating in the military shipbuilding industry, and this can be clearly felt in the social media circles of the defence enthusiasts of the relevant countries.

I am in favour of creating a fund - maybe a foundation - for these projects. Pilot productions can be made within these concepts and delivered to the Turkish Navy for sea tests. The private fund can undertake the production costs for the ships that will join the Turkish Navy within these pioneering ships in its classes. If you deliver a ship to TN, you increase your overseas marketing power many times over. This creates the fund's own life cycle. There are limited financial resources and manpower to increase the renewal momentum of our navy. Formulas should be worked on to enable private shipyards to progress more rapidly and in parallel to minimise the cost of these resources. A sovereign wealth fund on a voluntary basis and directly attached to the naval forces could be tried.

Maybe the AS 3600 could be our interim solution ?

With proper sensor employment, removing half of the VLS and increasing range/endurance.

I'm humbly requesting special attention to Ivar & Mogami style wet deck...
IMO...I think we'll see this materialize as a continuation of Pakistan's Jinnah-class frigate program, maybe as a Batch II or Batch III set of ships (e.g., to replace the F-22Ps by 2040 or so).

Possible. I read either here or another place is that this design has some Jinnah Class vibes. From earlier Jinnah Class photos etc.
