The United States, Mark 41 Vertical Pulse System (VLS) regarding the provision was learned that impose an embargo on Turkey. Mk41 VLSs were to be procured for the Frigate in TCG ISTANBUL (F-515).
TCG ISTANBUL (F-515) Frigate, the fifth ship of the MİLGEM Project and the first ship of the İSTİF Class Frigate Project, was launched with a ceremony held on 23.01.2021. Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Presidency Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR announced that the National Vertical Shooting System (MDAS) will be used instead of the US-produced Mk41 Vertical Shooting System (VLS) in the TCG ISTANBUL Frigate, which is produced by the main contractor of STM.

According to the information obtained by SavunmaSanayiST.com; In making this decision by the US embargo on Turkey for the supply of the MK41 Vertical Stroke System was effective. MDAS, whose development activities are accelerated, is expected to be used for the first time with the TCG ISTANBUL Frigate.

According to the information obtained by SavunmaSanayiST.com; Turkey is no stranger to the integration of the MDAS missile systems and missiles as well as any native MK41 has an attitude such as the integration of foreigners at the system. The deck can easily handle landing of an UAV up to 2 tonnes (or even more,but not up to 5). The matter is how it will be landing (placing arresting gears) and how it will be taking off (assisted or separated)
It is not effective as before because while landing or take off the deck will need to be cleared out, ie. no other operations will be allowed. While in STOVL, the vertical landing spot will be occupied during landing and will allow for a simultaneous take off of another aircraft (fixed or rotating)
Also UAV will need to be modified with foldable wings for effective storage, and stronger airframe to withstand assisted launching or landing.
So it is more a matter on UAV part, the ship is technically ready except i still don't know how they are going to place an EMALS or landing arrests (simply is not feasible), thus only way to go is development of a STOVL UAV, and it is again on part of UAV makers.
I don't think DzKK (Turkish Navy) will be willing to touch at deck integrity so i don't really expect them to cut it up and place arresting systems and launching systems. while also would occupy below-deck hangar's effective place. DzKK is not willing to make permanent modifications on TCG Anadolu.
During landing, standard hydraulic arresting systems, as they are designed to stop 5++ ton weight planes, exert too much force on the light weight planes and this could be fatal. So a hydraulic system that can handle light weight planes will have to be designed.
In addition, there has to be at least 3 arresting wires fitted across the width of the start of the run way. There are surface positioned ones that land arresting systems use. But I don’t know how these will work on a ship. Normally the hydraulic system is positioned at one deck below. But the very expensive surface covering specially made to withstand f35B’s engine heat will have to be destroyed at the beginning of the runway while the arresting wires are being placed.
If at a later date a Hurjet type plane is to be used then best choice will have to be electromagnetic arresters. They will operate for UAV’s and heavier planes as their load handling can be adjusted.
If DzKK is not prepared to cut up the runway, then the whole project is a non-starter. I can’t see how they intend to land a UAV on such a short runway?

SSB will procure 40 unmanned sea and underwater vehicle.

I’m guessing that this procurement directly targets ULAQ. Are there any other major companies working on an unmanned sea vessel? Having a “priority“ status probably means that they want to really accelerate this project and use these in the Aegean. Procuring 40 of these ships seems like a very hefty order. If I were to make a wild guess, I think that the Navy will just send these out in the Aegean and move a few more of the heavier ships to the East Med.

I don’t think that any of our current neighbours have the necessary firepower nor the technology to counter these very little yet deadly machines. I’m especially curious about the version that can carry Atmaca missiles. That would be a tiny little ship killer on its own. Small fishing vessels appear really really small on radar. Judging from the design and color of ULAQ, I think that thanks to new stealth coatings, these will appear much smaller than such fishing boats (or even more realistically, these might not even appear at all, on the dated radars of the old technology vessels used by our neighbours). Greece wouldn’t want to send out any of their major ships to waters infested with these things. Trying to retaliate against 40 of these would drain their resources pretty quickly. They don’t have enough ships to target each and every one of these.

I believe the other one you're thinking of was Global Teknik, they were doing stuff with Tubitak a decade ago

Sorry for being irritating but Greeks already have unmanned sea vessels from UAE, don't have?

Technically speaking, all boats are USV's with a simple remote control :), that USV is more symbolical than being practical.
The matter is how truly it is designed to be unmanned to serve at specific roles.

Underwater communication is difficult due to attenuation of signals but possible.

For long range underwater communication (>1000km range) low frequency is used, problem with low frequency (300bit / sec) is you cannot send over a lot of data (kinda data like telegram, a few sentences). Commands like engage, abort, new coordinates etc. can be given this way (and around)

At closer distances the subs can communicate with each other at higher frequencies and at visible distance communication by light.

So these unmanned underwater subs need a high degree of autonomy (Artificial intelligence, automation). They could periodically surface and get new command (for example during night to lower possibility of detection)

Oh Sorry. Dr. Taştan from the USA proposed the design of Convair Model 48 ( Bronco OV10) with STOL capabilities as UAV for LHD Anadolu.

That is why it is harder to make them bro, they are rather autonomous and able to make decisions, monitor surrounding via hydrophones (and proximity sensors) and asses the situation, estimate location by INS and take precautions according to the bathymetry, strategic UUVs (Large ones) usually communicates like submarines by launching a buoy for sat-com to transmit collected data -correct INS and re-route, load new missions. High tech UUVs decides when to surface, while some low-tech ones surfaces in fixed intervals.
Acoustic signals would remarkably lost the power over higher distances so it is hard to guide them by that.
While small UUVs (conceptually similar to tactical drones) rather equipped with simpler modules and prone to be lost and mostly used as remote sensors. (such as, underwater gliders, short range UUVs)

OV-10 bronco resembles the TAI Aksungur drone

Maybe SSB / TAI should consider a shorter wingspan naval version of Aksungur if they can achieve short takeoff and landing
