The OPV project was known since 2 years ago.

Turkish navy has received 2 more Anka weaponised UAV’s from Tusas.
These are satcom version of the UAV with extended range.
Keep them coming boys!

Sorry but they have messed it up, TCG Ufuk is also a variation of Milgem but she has a "A" class.
The latter ships will also be an OPV design based on Milgem(Ada class) and +2 is not clear, so far i know it will be +4
+2 is entirely made up by people who takes some other projects as basis for optional numbers.
They will be a P class (logically), not F (assuming and heard so, but it is TN i won't be surprised if becomes an F class)

Not really a friend of unarmed OPV's similar in size like the Ada Corvette.

Cheaper to operate in peace time, ready for weaponization in case of war.. I think it is very smart thing to do.. We need more ships for patrolling Mavi Vatan and why would you do that with ships fully armed for a war.

I think they will make these empty ships ready for future weaponization, but they are needed now, fast.

We will see in near future what kind of an OPV has been requested by DzKK.
CODAD makes sense, 2 diesel engines can power an Ada class up to 22+ knots.


However i think the numbers were roughly estimated from some approximations thus these are accurate by -+ 2 knots.

OPSV-2100's main missions are;

• Search and Rescue operations (SAR)
• Day & Night HELO operations
• Day &Night HELO operations capabilities with HIFR and Vertrep
• Economic exclusive zone (EEZ) monitoring & surveillance
• Spills and contamination control
• Training

In order to carry out the tasks assigned, OPV-2100 has the following capabilities;

• 20+ knots maximum speed
• Minimum 5000 n.miles endurance at 15 knots crusing speed
• Survivability up to sea state 7+
• Weapon and sensors operations up to sea state 5+
• Helo operations up to sea state 4+
• Three machine guns, Fwd. Gun 30 mm., others 12.7 mm.
• Helicopter platform for day & night landing and takeoff (NH-90 type helicopter)

P.S. I prefer the aft gun to be replaced with Gökdeniz.
