I am on the team saying 4 Frigates with AAW configuration would help us a lot. Especially considering Türkiyes location. I'd not put all my eggs are n same basket.
I am almost on your team.
Since we have started building Tepe Class, there should be 2 of them in total. (Same with TCG Anadolu ; they should build TCG Trakya with an effective runway of 230metres operating arresting wires for KE and Anka-3).
In stead there should be 4 to 6 x 5000 ton frigates.
With 8 x İstif Class and until we add new ships to the fleet 4 x Barbaros MLUs (cheaper than building new İstif) should suffice.

As combatants
4 x Ada
8 x Hisar
8 x İstif
4 x Barbaros MLU
4 - 6 x 5000 ton frigates
2 x Tepe
2 x LHDs

We should focus on more submarines for the Navy too.

Main focus should be directed towards airforce. Stealth aircraft should be the centre of our main focal point. All stops should be lifted when it comes to stealth aircraft’s and their engine development.

Arleigh burke are also 2 billion a piece. Putting multiple siper system equivalent on a huge ship will obviously cost a lot. But we do need at least 4
Place them on the LHDs in side-baskets like Italians do. You don’t spend target practice platforms costing over billions to carry Siper missiles.
May be in time we will have more Tepe destroyers. But not now when we need to focus on our airforce.

Milden coming,no?
Hopefully. They have already cut Steel.

Bro,
I am no naval engineer. But with little knowledge I have for sailing boats, I can say that downsizing Tepe like Milgem may not be possible.
Tepe Class has design measurements of:
149m length
21.3m width
5.75m draught

This gives it a tonnage of 8600tons. That width and draught gives it the stability it needs for that length and weight.

You can’t keep those measurements and produce a 5000 ton frigate.

You misunderstood me, i didn‘t say turning Tepe-class hull into a 5000t frigate.

The 5000t frigate i was refering is that „final block“ @Anmdt mentioned in the second paragraph. He said it will be procured after the multi mission frigate.
However, I am ascertain that the later block will be downgraded to serve as multi-purpose frigate and won't be referred as "Tepe Class". Costing nearly half, 6-8 of these will be procured.

And there will be a final block which will be procured after the multi purpose frigate, and it will be something else, possibly 2 or 3 of these dedicated to BMD.

I don’t know if he’s just throwing things or if there are actual considerations?
I am so fucking tired of seeing Turkish defence industry and projects attract people with no fucking concept of reality. And not just that, but have no bloody understanding or foresight in how things might shape up. What the fuck are we going to use 2 carriers for when we don't even need one! Or 3 LHDs?

Let's sink 10 billion in 2 carriers and ships around them so that they could sit in the bloody Mediterranean and become giant fucking targets. And if I hear one more twat talk about "overseas ambitions" or similar shite like that I'm going to throw a bottle at them. We aren't even a regional superpower yet, Israel is making plays all around us and instead of making sure our resources go towards securing our borders and region around us, we are wasting money on "overseas" goals.

Useless cunts can't even pick an IFV in 10 years or have the sense to sort out helicopters for the navy before trying to build 30 more ships and yet they are talking about aircraft carriers.

Realistic expectations; a nuclear carrier plus 6 nuclear submarines with every kind of hardware on board for a start, with numbers to be optimized going forward.
Yanina mayonez, ketcap olsun mu?

I hope you know what our military budget is and that every branch of the Armed Forces needs urgently new systems, modernizations etc.
First replace those cold war equipment in the Land Forces, replace the old ships in the Navy, modernize the F-16 fleet, get your Infantry some optics for their rifles and then only then you can talk about such things...

We ask people here to be a little bit realistic, this isn't circlejerkdefence.com

Some of the other analysts I know also sad that when our navy builds nuclear subs than the likelihood of a nuclear carrier increased as well. But these ships are a decade away from even being constructed.

It makes sense if our navy didn't aged 10 years ago. It will make sense in the future when we have enough ships that delaying new ship deliveries for couple of years doesn't hurt our navy that much. It just doesn't make sense now or the near future. If there is lack of money which clearly is, we need to find that money somewhere else and not selling ships that we need 10 years ago.
It seems we dont have enough money to produce for our own. The current exchange rate is not very helpful.

Now that made me really curious.

Will those "6-8 multi purpose frigates" share the same hull as Tepe-class? If yes, then it means that rumored ~5000t multi purpose frigate project that was planned after Tepe-class are those 2-3 ships you mentioned here?

4x Tepe-class
6-8x multi pupose frigate (based on Tepe-class hull)
2-3x new AAW frigate design
I suppose it was misunderstood. I implied that ~5000 tonnes multi-purpose frigate may safely end up being ~6000 tonnes and eventually based on Tepe-Class as well.
That 2-3 new AAW design is referring to long term goals, merely speculating that Navy might extend TF-2000 hull into ~9000 tonnes and dedicate these to BMD.

Of course that 2-3 extended hulls should be considered along with Nuclear sub, and an operational aircraft carrier. Which aims beyond 2040s.

You are missing something crucial. Turkey has the only large Nato or Us allied navy without integration to a system like AEGIS / PAAMS / APAR. We are part of nato but not exactly part of a large and deeply integrated international network for stopping ballistic missiles and air defense which requires larger area coverage than you can manage purely with radars based on Turkey or on ground even if you add Somali and such. Turkey therefore needs its own long range radar coverage of a wide area for ballistic missile interception and TF2000 is the spearhead of that like aegis and paams platforms are for rest of Nato. It's needed to extend our radar coverage to a much larger area so that future Siper 3 systems can intercept long range missiles flying towards Turkey. So TF2000 is not purely for the navy, the Air Force needs TF2000 deployed to be able to do their job and defend the airspace above Turkey

Somewhat true but in the future the real long range radars for ballistic Defence will be alp500g (SEIRS) and alp600g (YIRAD) and these radar systems will be much better in detecting ballistic missiles than cenk 600n.

No I am not.
Ballistic missile exo atmospheric interception, like US SM3 missiles have performed in the last few days, need a much longer detection range than our CAFRAD can provide. AN/TPY-2 radar in Kurecik has a detection range of 3000 km.
CAFRAD has a detection range of 600km. (Its Multi-Function-Radar - ÇFR, has an operational range of 450km. (600km CAFRAD doesn’t give you a 600km radius protection radius. That is governed by the missiles‘ range you have)

Additionally the best missiles we may have ready for that Tepe Class are going to be 180-200km range Siper Block-3 missiles. So it can only protect itself and the ships that are sailing with it. Plus the nearby ports or cities it is moored at.

When we have few AN/TPY-2 type radars covering all 4 sides of Turkiye and missiles like SM3 with 1200km to 2500km range and 500-1500km altitude (for different blocks), then we can do what you are suggesting.

Otherwise we will have something similar to a Pac3-MSE or may be a little better.

EDIT

I don’t know if anyone noticed. But had it not been for those SM-3 missiles and Kurecik radar, we had no defence against those Iranian missiles. And we still don’t have anything of ours until post 2028. Even then it will be for close proximity of the target. Not wide area defence.

The budget for TSK alone has to be at least $50 billion in order to speed up things a little.
Air Force, multi layered air defense systems, radars, replacement and modernization of the Navy that should be the main priority until 2030.

Our Marines are still using M48, Tepe-class is 3 years away from entering the fleet, but we start with MUGEM. (y)
