I would prefer any Mullahs, Wahhabism or Taliban over Kemalism (nothing to do with Atatürk). It’s the worst thing that can happen for Turkey. I would even vote for HDP before I would vote for Kemalism.

From what i understand Turkey had nuclear reactors for research purposes in the 1950's, they still have them i believe. There is plenty of information on the internet about Turkey helping Pakistan acquire certain materials and equipment for their own nuclear program. Pakistan has in the past even offered to share everything they know about nuclear development to Turkey, in which Turkey openly always turned down.

In the past so called Islamist Abdullah Gul whose a member of British aristocratic orders, handed over highly enriched unrainum that Turkey created.

I even remember Sibel Edmonds claiming that it was an open secret in Nato that Turkey had nuclear weapons.

Research reactors produce very little fissile material. They essentially are used to establish the fundamental physics and engineering to be scaled up to a weapon/commercial reactor (a much larger reactor that is capable to produce the material needed in relevant timeframes).

You need these kind of (larger) reactors to produce the material (thats how "max" estimates of various countries nuclear weapons are done when they have not declared the number like say US and USSR to each other).

Also there is large infra needed in reprocessing and so on. All these facilities would have to be established and networked...and they are also remotely sensed and analysed by other powers.

I could see Japan and South Korea having it (given the number of large reactors and related infra) or breaking through quickly on it.

But Turkey is just acquiring large reactor (VVER) now ...and with IAEA safeguards since its NPT member.

I just don't see Turkey having fissile material stockpile at least plutonium wise.

Turkey needed to use its research reactors to build a larger reactor or two (during the cold war at some point) that are capable of producing the needed fissile material.

Thats for plutonium though.

Centrifuge-only route (U-235 route) I feel also would have more media exposure by now if it was the case (as dedicated centrifuge facilities stick out quite considerably)....but it is possible...there is grey area here and I have not really looked into it in Turkey's case.

Regd Pakistan, its not surprising as even US looked the other way on purpose (given Soviet AFG war) duing the 1980s when under Zia Admin, Pakistan ramped up its underlying program with significant assistance from the Chinese too.

But in case of Pakistan, South Africa in cold war part 2.... (and Israel, India, China in cold war part 1)....there was significant reactor + facility presence established first.

The actual weapon design itself is not an issue for Turkey or any major country with industrial and scientific pool to harness.

But the fissile production (that needs significant protracted political determination and acceptance of costs) is the main issue.

"Qatari Foreign Minister said, “We are closely monitoring the economic situation in Turkey. We look forward to the opportunities that will emerge from the economic problems in Turkey.”

Well, thanks for revealing it yourself that you are a traitor of the country.

"Erdogan: Our Lord says, "We will test you with a little fear and hunger, and a decrease in goods, lives and fruits."

He lives in the palaces we don't lmao he is making fun of us at this point.
So I have to be hungry because some arab said so?
It's been years since I picked up a Quran but I don't remember it saying anywhere that God will test you with suffering.

We live in palaces, ride private jets, drive new limousines and have billions in bank accounts abroad but you must suffer patiently and be thankful for it because it brings you closer to Allah. It is all written in the Quran- look it up. :D
