If you critisize AKP or Erdogan you are a traitor but praising a separatists leader who has no difference to öcalan is absolutely ok, politics in Turkey is fucked up...
It's the hypocricy of each individual, they look at their ideology/believes and decide, a Islamist Kurd would never call Sheikh Said or Said Nursi terrorist, never, same goes for communist Kurds who never would call Ocalan terrorist.

People and Politics in Turkey is a comedy, they root for parties like it's a football club no matter how much bullshit they are doing. You can't find that in Europe for example Social Democrats (left) can form the Goverment, if they can't deliver, they are gone in the next elections and often replaced by centre-right conservatives and vice-versa.

The real problem is the mindset of the people, populist know that and use that for their advantage.

Yep, thats the core issue hence no party can fix Turkey as long as the people are not fixed.

The Sheikh started a armed rebellion against the putschist 'Young Turks' (strange enough nobody of this group revolutionaries was a Turk) to restore the Ottoman state.

The Sheikh never stood up for Kurdish identity or Kurdish philosophy. He was a true pro-Ottoman and had more Turkish blood in his toes than the 'Young Turks' which he fought against.

officially Civata Azadiya Kurd (Society for Kurdish Freedom), later Civata Xweseriya Kurd (Society for Kurdish Independence)

He became the head of the religious community after his father Sheik Mahmud died. In 1907 he toured the neighboring provinces in the east and he established contacts with officers from the Hamidye cavalry.[7] He urged the Kurdish deputies in the parliament to form a party of their own.

Yeah doesnt sound like anything about Kurdish identitiy... *sarcasm off
You can tell your fake history to ignorants who struggle reading, you only waste your time here.

Those are Kurdish sources. According to those guys Salahaddin Ajjubi, Sultan Alparslan and Sultan Baybars were Kurds to. And according to them Mustafa Kemal promised them a free and independent Kurdish state before he became president of the Turkish Republic.

I dont take those sources serious and its funny that a so called Turkish nationalist like you take Kurdish sources serious when its please you.

I only look to the facts and fact is that Sheikh Sayid was a Ottoman sympathizer and pro-dynasty rebel with no links to Kurdish insurgents.

Its matter of time and context in the end.

Turkey is still fresh from some pretty awful stuff (regarding its birthing into modern nationstate republic). Large parts of developing world its same case.

For Germany (or any "developed" democracy archetype used as reference)....one merely needs to go to an earlier time and you see similar currents (the 30 years war for extreme example case of it) during periods Europe grappled with identity priorities in forming more cohesive nations and ethnicities.

There is basically significant issue of when such churns were faced and how societies learned from them over long period of time after them. It always takes a long time, that is the human psyche in the end.

This is what makes things like the Holocaust, Holodomor and other genocides particularly disturbing as they were significant reversals to lessons long learned by such societies power centres (compared to less developed + fracturing churning ones at the time).

classic reply to this BS: would you be more happy if the money had gone to Otokar. Or would Otokar do better with the German engine embargo.

Criticize BMC and you get immediately a politicized defending with Otokar (as if not all our companies are proud Turkish companies). BMC is making kick azz trucks but on the tank business they have only impressed negatively

Yeah, another religious party is what Turkey needs right now, because religion is so relevant to politics, the success of religion driven policy in Turkey has proven that... *sarcasm off
Have you forgotten what the religous Kurds under Sheikh Said did? Now you want to replace communists separatists by islamist separatists.

Whats interesting Sheikh Said had a lot of former Ottoman soldiers fighting in his rank some were Turks too. Many came from hamidiye backgrounds.

After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire a lot of their soldiers either joined the newly founded nations armed forces or they became mercernaries and fighting for anybody for the highest bidder. Some resorted to becoming bandits. Some fought against european colonialism and occupation in the middle east. Some joined up with various rebels.

Maybe those mercs did not really believe in Sheikh Said's cause maybe for their paycheck.

Im wondering how many Ottoman soldiers especially from Anatolia that did not return. Another study we have to look into.

If the opposition believe its best that Ekrem Imamoglu and Mansur Yavas stay as Mayors and Kilicdaroglu is not very popular, surely it would be better for Aksener to be assigned as the main candidate? (After all iYi party are expected to get around 15-20% of votes - so they will be quite influential in a coalition.

Although If I remember correctly, Aksener stated that she did not want to run for president as she preferred the role of prime minister if such a position is re-instated.
