Yes but what i dont understand, how could the prices of products from our own bottom raise so hard? I am not talking about gasoline or Adidas, those are coming from abroad.
I just back from the Netherlands so i went shopping this week because my fridge was empty.
1 kg sugar is 100 TL. If you read the package, it says 'fresh made from Turkish beetroots' and 'Original product of Turkey'. Its a domestic product, how could the price be so volatile?
These domestic products must save you in times of war and recession, or if you get sanctioned. Because you produce them without help from other countries and the price is lower for your people.
Sugar from Elazığ, thea from Rize, salt from Van, pistachos from Antep, walnuts from Samsun, cheese, yoghurt, milk. I can make a whole list. We produce a lot domestic products but even they are not safe.
Very simple, the machinery thats being used for the pistachio production use gasoline, the trucks that transport them use gasoline, the machinery and trucks are being imported in dollar, the pesticides are being imported in dollar.
The workers who work in the fields, factory, logistics and the vendor himself need pay raise due to inflation hence labor costs go up.
Inflation is a spiral thats hard to get out, things get more expensive so salaries have to rise, when salaries rise things get more expensive.
There is one way to stop it, stop printing money and raise interest rates above inflation.
This is the reason why i laugh at people who think with ''biz bize yeteriz'' mentality, people who think they can screw up relations with basically everyone while the country is highly dependant on imports.
Now why dont Turks produce more themselves you will ask now, well because Turks are not innovative, anyone who has some money to start up a business imadiately thinks of opening a restaurant, a shop or a car wash, all things that again consume goods that will be imported elsewhere, only very few actually think of producing something, opening a factory, invest in efficient agriculture that needs less labor and ressources.
How do we change this? Invest in quality education, stop enforcing political and religious agendas into schools, they are here to raise a quality generation for the future not your political crap. The country doesnt need that many imam hatips, but its in dire need for scientific faculties and academics who are allowed to do their jobs without government inteference. LEAVE POLITICS OUT OF EDUCATION ITS DESTROYING THE FUTURE OF TURKEY!
Now the question of the questions, what do we need to do to break this devils spiral, where do we start?
Well, the answer is obvious but you will not like it...
