Witness statement ‘’...I have not witnessed any irregularities in a concrete way, but I have some rumours since I am in the sector.‘’

By the way, most of the charges are based on "secret witnesses" the same method as Ergenekon- Balyoz (Sledgehammer) cases.

Anyway, I have zero doubt that İmamoğlu is corrupt just like Erdoğan but you can't remove an elected metropolitan mayor by weaponizing the judiciary unless it is high treason. Erdoğan stole billions and everybody knows this but it is not right for some random judge to have the power to remove him because people elected him. Corruption charges if there are any should be pressed after politicians are voted out of office unless it involves high treason or murder etc.

Yeah this is the whole point. You let independent judiciary put some of your lackeys in jail for all the shit they've done, I promise you when the same judiciary does the same to some opposition figures nobody will utter a word.

Personally don't give a single shit about Imamoglu, but what really pisses me off is how the Goverment reacts against protesting students while terrorist sympathizing kekos in Nevruz are untouched. Then accuse those protestors for being PKK supporters while the PKK supporters have a good day waving terrorist flags/pancards, singing terrorist songs and wearing terrorist fistans. Probably because AKP is trying to cozy up with kekos once again.

Polis dogu'da pamuk sekeri dagitiyor, batida Türk genclerine plastik mermisi ve gaz...

This is a good opportunity for CHP to appoint Mansur Yavas as the oppositions main candidate, but let's be honest they wouldn't do that because they are a bunch of incompetent clowns in suit...

Erdogan is so scared of Imamoglu he could do a lot of things to make Turkiye better and earn the goodwill of people to beat him.

But nah his so out of touch artik that its getting pathetic and more hilarious.

Gave more ammo for protests to happen even if Imamoglu is a dirty smug prick the whole corruption charge has now ended and Imamoglu basically promoted himself a guy that is getting oppressed to the public.

Erdogan stuffed up hard. Ever since he lost Istanbul the man has been losing it. Go focus on the cities and invest them that are still supporting you but nah he wants Istanbul thats all he cares about.

I forgot all these politicians care about Istanbul. Cant believe how much power and wealth is centred upon one city.

Not even Ataturk was able to break the power of Istanbul eventhough he tried. What a shame how 1 city is able to rule the entire country.

Very good points made here; Barzanis, Talabanis and YPG seem to know much more about this 2nd barış süreci compared to the Turkish public. And for the first time in history these guys are all united all waiting for ...?

Istanbul province generates 30% of Turkey’s GDP.

Yeah generates it but at the same time it gets the most investments.

Thanks to Istanbul some places got emptied out now Istanbul is no different to New York. A congested dysptopia.

When a war happens the Anatolian Heartland would be the ones to defend the country.

Even during Ottoman Times. Istanbul had the lowest conscription rate in the army. In other words they barely served in the army.

Politicians squabble over Istanbul because they believe if you rule Istanbul you rule the country.

Even during the Turkish independance war was a civil war between Istanbul and Ankara Government. Istanbul government was the Sultan and its reprenstatives while Ankara was headed by the Turkish national movement.

Erdogan is just pissed because he lost Istanbul. Instead of akp focusing on trying to get Istanbul back. They should focus on their own cities and provinces. They just see them as cattle nothing else for votes.

Its just a honey pot for them.

If there was a wide corruption investigation in the country or a purge.

All the parties would be implicated in it. Whats interesting how Erdogan once showed to the people he was anti corruption was going to clean out Turkiye from corruption that caused the economic crisis. Once you eat that honey pot its over.

Corruption has no ideology really. People are like Erdogan isnt corrupt but his party is full of it.

Yeah if Erdogan isnt corrupt as some people said you know he could purge these people out of his party. But nah he either allows it because he gets to pocket the money or gets it from his lackeys.

Even a person who is not corrupt but allows corruption by turning a blind eye to it is also corrupt.
