The talk about capital account "attack" etc by foreigners is bogus one.

But let us assume it is true for sake of argument.

If my country is being attacked, I would sign up to defend it.....

As I know the people I share foxhole and trench with are regular people like me in end, who I agree and disagree with on whatever issue, but they for most part are in same boat as me on matter of life and death against an invader. I can trust them.

But the powerful people.....what about them? I break bread with people like them regularly? They allow me to? If not, least they can do is have basic sense on their power.

So if the powerful people are (related to the country's defense in war) doing such a thing as focusing on creating and perpetuating a civil war (on top of the foreign invasion they one day trot out as well)....and are going to direct me against own countrymen (or whatever catch they fancy past fighting the enemy)....then sorry, I won't sign up to have my life and effort squandered....and have foreign invader win in the end because we fought each other first thing or promoted weakness and stupidity inside by the process.

That is literally what lowering interest rate in situation of high inflation is like* (i.e doing something to deliberately make an economy worse).

It is literally taking sledgehammer on own people and then pointing to foreigners as being the culprit.

Along with the other dumb policies being done.

You make Turkish economy and society actually weak enough to be invaded later (or now) for sure.

* You will notice not one of these people saying "capital account/foreigner attack/conspiracy" is able to explain the logic behind the I/R drop in high inflation environment.

they control capital flow and foreign investments ...that is the attack

So essentially you are telling me the same <Deep state/illuminati/insert name here> <western/insert name> folks built the CCP (their biggest adversary by far then and now) up on purpose...for a whole 40+ years?

If you are going to use a conspiracy theory, the first premise is to use it consistently, especially at the largest example possible.

If it somehow doesnt work there (and it really shouldnt if you look at the whole thing as to what the CCP was known to be, quite apparently now, to one section of society....but not really the others in relation to idealism vs pragmatism on wealth-power-strategy)

If it doesn't work there......why would it work on something more specific and smaller suddenly?

People who have no clue about how basic economics works call it ''economic war'' because they think we have a great leader whos doing everything right so economy should get better so if it doesnt then it must be foreign powers.
If the most powerful President of the most powerful nation on earth (D.Trump) said, „I will destroy your economy.“ After that, „I will do this again, if you...“ You should take this serious.

It's worth noting that Trump also bragged about destroying China's economy with trade tariffs which...didn't work out so well.

The US is an economic juggernaut but it's not the God of International Finance as some people here mistakenly believe.

Actually that Trump's trade tariffs were about to made Chinese stuffs (selected commodity that could harm US companies) to be more expensive in US or basically just a common anti-dumping measures but just too much that can also harm US companies that need that cheaper Chinese stuffs itself.

Hope this easy explanation can explain lol. For example :

The price of steel pipe by US companies are $100, because of more expensive production cost in US.

The price of Chinese made steel pipe are $50, because cheaper production cost in PRC.

Based on that, we can see the Chinese steel pipe are more cheaper than the US made, and automatically, the demand for Chinese are more higher than the US one. It can harms US companies that also make steel pipe because they are in the threats of no one buy their steel pipes that can also create the industries stop production and also the loss of jobs for many American.

One of the solutions is put tariffs to Chinese made steel pipe. So put extra tariffs of for example $50 also to make the Chinese made and US made can compete with more fairness.

You don't need to tell me what tariffs are, you just elaborated on my point - Trump tried to "bring back production to the US" (loosely paraphrased) and it ended up backfiring and exposing just how deeply reliant we are on China. And it's not just China, from LBJ onward the manufacturing sector has been practically demolished in the US because everything keeps getting outsourced.

This is what i am talking about, no way that opposition fielded in manner like this could replace AKP, simply it is not natural. Best bet is to push for the non compromised AKP elements if there are such in great numbers and push them to make internal reforms within national unity boundaries.

"Turkish main opposition CHP says it won’t vote for the resolution that grants two-year-long authorisation for Erdogan in military operations in Syria and Iraq. A first in many years."

The opposition are essentially handed victory in the next election on their plate, yet they still manage to botch it.

I wonder if iYi party will vote for or against the bill - it can be a deciding factor of the next election.

HAHAAHAHAHAHAH
And ppl still say that the HDP wont be able to control the CHP
Trust me when I say that after CHP wins and the parliamentary system is returned, CHP will be the bitch of the HDP as the HDP seats will be crucial for the CHP (not saying that the presidential system is better as both has their pros and cons)
Do you really believe that the CHP wont accept any military presence of TSK in Iraq and Syria out of goodwill? Hahaha! It was probably a condition to be fullfilled for the HDP-CHP alliance to be formed
Allow me to remind you of the HDP leaders words a week ago; "Under the new administartion, for the first time, HDP will have a ROLE in the decision-making process in Turkey" which Another sign that the PKK will re-enter Turkey in hordes
Turks never learn IMO
This is how it goes.....
Turkish politician kicks PKK>>> loses election>>>> New politician brings PKK>>>>>> PKK screws turkey amd kills both Turks and TSK soldiers>>>>>> After 5 years, current politician (who allowes them to enter in the first place), Decides to rekick PKK ass or the TURKS will kick him in the balls>>>>>> West is angry>>>>> Kicks said politican and the cycle repeats itself

The only losers are the TSK soldiers and the common ppl in this rotten cycle

I can understand IYI decision to want to normalise ties with Assad to an Extent but....... to want to have "peace" with Macron? Like come on man..... Macron's anti-turkey stance isnt because they are intervening in France's internal affairs but because Turkey is starting to get all the booties in Africa from France's legs amd the French dont wanna sacrifice more to try and keep their control over Africe..... #Imperial blood loool🤣

Does lovely Aksener understands that or is she trying to kiss the French a** for political support and investments in the new period after 2023?

It is very obvious that CHP isn't the solution that Turkey needs.
Their next move can be to make Selo run the presidency.
I also support withdrawal from Syria and kicking the Syrians to Syria but it doesn't mean like that. Withdrawing from Northern Syria in that state may lead to very catastrophic consequences to our sovegrinity
It is very unfortunate that we have to live with either AKP or CHP. Bad and worse..
