Our prime minister for 14 years , only female dictator for 2 years from 1975 till 1977.
She was a strong woman , very strong one .
Infact so strong and resolute that it was often said she was a the only man in her cabinet. Rest other ministers who were although all men. Were pussies and trembled in front of her
She was not corrupt though
She took india on the path of complete socialism , we came very close to ussr .
Through indo soviet friendship treaty where they helped us in 1971 bangaldesh war , by directly sending a flotilla to confront the American task force 74 threatening us I bay of bengal thereafter for which she was called a bitch by henry kissinger and richard nixon
Most powerful PM india had , annexed small state of sikkim in india in 1975 .
Her son who became pm after she was assisinated invaded srilanka and Maldives too .
Mother son duo were a daring bunch .
Although her son rajiv gandhi was assisinated too in. A bomb blast and indira gandhi murderd by her bodyguards .
Her younger son sanjay gandhi died in a plane crash too who was groomed to succeed her to take over Indias reins
Her father jawahr lal Nehru was first prime minster of india
Nehru gandhi family is a political dynasty in india. Indira gandhi its most capable and illustrious member

The Ministry of National Education will organize a festival in a 5-star beach hotel in Antalya for Syrian students. The festival will last 5 days and cost 4,65 million TL.

Within the scope of the “Social and Economic Cohesion through Vocational and Technical Education Project” financed through the EU Financial Assistance Program Fund for Refugees, The Ministry of National Education only organizater .

still doesn't make anything good. those refugees will be sent back to syria soon we don't have to look after them.

They will destabilize our country If we can't get rid of them

Also we are already paying out taxes to these ungrateful people doesn't change the fact that we don't paid for this. Everything else is going out from our pockets even the syrians in syria like I don't have to pay money to them.

Actually I have heard from my buddy @T-123456 ....Indira Gandhi was/is quite respected as a leader within Turkey (especially at the time and just after, though I do not know if its case more recently since time has passed and history is very large for lot of people to tackle to enough degree etc)

She was seen as "tough" + "bold" etc.

What's this?
Why you people disrespect our former prime minister indira gandhi?
It has nothing to do with the original Indira Gandhi. It is just a stupid wordplay joke. "Indir"(mek) is a Turkish word that is also used for stealing (not the original meaning though). If someone steals money, sometimes people say "he made indira gandhi" because this name includes the word "indir"
Most people don't even know who Indira Gandhi was.
But it is even more stupid this joke and even photo of her was used by a political parties

Nice to hear that, but she was the turning point. Very many of the shafts wielded at liberals, progressives and so on are shafts wielded at things that she was responsible for; a lot of the abandonment of administrative principle that is rampant now started with her.

She is one of the greatest hoaxes that India played on herself and on a gullible world.

Yup....but international audience often in general gets 2 - 3 "gut feeling" summarised highlights mostly....as is case with leaders in general.

The larger story is more domestically known only (in general).

EDIT: I shifted some continuing convo to better thread for it.

Erdogan is seriously thinking about not running for the presidency. There is also a wild theory that the elections might be postponed for a year. This is not allowed in the current constitution unless there is a war. Erdogan can launch some operations in Syria and interpret that as a war/near-war situation. AKP cadre is looking for ways to win the elections. Also, expect political turmoil from this point on. The Minister of Interior is very experienced when it comes to staging that kind of shenanigans.

The latest poll from ORC shows that the AKP stands at %28. AKP is under %30 for the first time if I'm not mistaken. CHP is holding steady at %24 while IYI is at %18. MHP is at %7 while HDP is at %8. Note that undecided voters are distributed among political parties in this poll. Polling in Turkiye can be tricky so it is best to calculate the mean values of a dozen polls.

Another more up to date poll from "Yöneylem Sosyal Araştımalar"
AKP %25.4
CHP %23.9
IYI %10
HDP %8.4
MHP %6
Zafer %2
Deva %1.5
Saadet %0.8
TIP %0.8
Others %2.5
Undecided voter %11
I won't vote %7.7

Three points are important for us now:

A) keep the domestic militairy industry growing and growing

B) controlled and effective relocation of refugees to their homelands

C) curb the inflation

AKP and MHP can only achieve point A.

CHP and IYI can only achieve point C.

ZP can only achieve point B.

HDP, Deva, Gelecek, Vatan, BTP, Refa, they cant do shit.

So we need a coalition of national unity with AKP-MHP-CHP-IYI-ZP.

Than you can achieve all three points and the country will stop dividing and putting fear in the chests of our foreign enemies.

Why are AKP and MHP the only ones that can achieve A?

Because they renewed and upgraded the industrial militairy infrastructure since 2002 with a lot of money and investments in R&D and startups and they now got the networks and inside knowhow from 20 years work. I am afraid they will take this lugage with them if they go and that a new party must startover again.

Unless HDP or TIP somehow miraculously win the coming up election then its safe to say that the defence industry will keep growing.

An independent and self-sufficient defence industry can be regarded as a national goal rather than the objective of just one party.

The current administration just use its growing success as a political tool to bolster their popularity. If anything, the mismanagement of the economy and failures to deal with inflation has burdened the industry, whether this is reduced 'buying-power' for R&D, lost customers due to currency uncertainty, or even lost graduates who have moved abroad where wages and the standard of living is substantially higher.
