Who has written this? The tweet is not opening
When it comes to the defense industry, sometimes we can't help ourselves and dive right into the middle of the topic, naturally, but the friends who warn us are right...

It's turning into unnecessary chatter...

Still, tomorrow I'll be waiting for the friends I promised to meet for SAHA Istanbul, we can sit down and have some tea together once things wrap up...

Some accounts claim this engine is basically a copy of F110 as a backup plan for KAAN's initial batch. Like we have to pay hefty penalty, because no licence but at least KAAN can fly.
THIS IS NOT MY OPINION.
We can make the TF35k engine with better quality in that same time-frame.

Question… How likely is it that this is an attempt to pressure the U.S. and GE into supplying the first batches of the TAI KAAN with F-110 engines?
If it is merely a cheap copy with a shorter service life of 1,000 to 2,000 operating hours, it would serve its purpose until the TF-35000 is ready—assuming the engine is actually seriously real.

As you know, diplomacy often relies on symbolism and presentations to convey a message.

Why go for 42000lbs then?

Very unlikely. Contrary to common belief, Americans are not so inexperienced and dumb to buy that

As you know, diplomacy often relies on symbolism and presentations to convey a message.
A very beautiful description of diplomacy 🫡

As I’ve already mentioned, this engine doesn’t make sense; the thrust (lbf) of this engine and that of the TF 35000 are too close together, and the core of the TF 35000 still has room to grow to reach 38,000–39,000 lbf. So if this engine and the project are indeed real, I don’t see the point in developing a second engine of a similar class, unless it’s a disposable product after 2–3 years, and even then I’m not entirely sure.

Please let somebody ask them where they manufacture and produce the parts of that engine. They do have a specific factory that we do not know so far. ??

Please use your brain for a second. Let’s say you’re right—why are we then begging for planes like the Eurofighter as a stopgap until the TAI KAAN… when a new engine is practically ready and has already been unveiled in the Ministry of Defense’s drawer?
You’ll see—it doesn’t make any sense! People are right to be skeptical…
