Those tests feel like an eternity, but it is what it is.

TEI GM Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk Akşit:
TS1400 is actually flight-ready with all the tests and similar processes currently being conducted; we are in the third (3rd) and final stage of certification.
If there are no hitches, God willing, we expect to complete the certification process next year.

Next year?

We shall point out the fact that, MSB Ar&Ge possibly is not the "ArGe ve teknik hizmetler daire başkanlığı" of the TSK. MSB Ar&Ge is a new R&D office launched by civilian faction of the ministry.

I would also bet they hire retirees, and drop-outs, the ones that fails to get a position in proper companies. Let's also admit the fact that 99.9% of the retiree's or drop outs from the TSK maintenance divisions wouldn't spend a day unemployed.

Sadly we are dealing 0.01 that fits to :"Baltaya sap olamamış".

That Mrs. Kuzulu, is not different to a charlatan, she is not knowledgeable on whatever she is talking about, far from being a "director" millions of miles away.

Same goes for the ICBM, sadly. The typical R&D cycle of the Turkish Armed Forces goes throuhg:
ArGe Teknik division points out the necessity and outsources the R&D (or Technology Transfer injection) in dedicated companies, institutions, outlying what they need, when they need, how they need. From that point on SSB / MSB tracks the progress, the R&D then utilized for products that serve to TSK's needs. It has been like this, since Turkish Defense Industry has properly taken a shape from 80s.

MSB ArGe, however, is nothing. They merely have few computers, access to some left overs, access to a 3D modeler. Likely been burning money in last 5 years abruptly.
That Mrs. Kuzulu may be a good engineer, I cannot judge. But I dont get her logic. She was saying in the interview we got the fuel right we are able to produce it. We also got the explosives so we thought it is time now to share our 6000km missile with the public!!! So in her (and MoD‘s) view the missile is soon ready to be fired! Indeed, this may be the case but where and how it will land we‘ll see :).

Regarding Güchan yes it can be a desperate attempt to influence US, but then I cannot explain the heli engine they presented. Why on earth we need it, I thought TEI already built it. Are we somehow in the wrong movie??

I am also a bit disillusioned by him. The certification of that heli engine took way too long. Time will tell how good his team is, though, I hope they succeed.
