Now they will have to "support refugees" in Belarus also.
Nah, they’ll cut Turkey loose once enough years has passed. Turkey will be stuck with the refugees. Belarus is actually doing something beneficial for Turkey.

The 145-kilometer (90-mile) wall that was recently completed along the Ağrı-Iğdır section of Turkey's eastern border with Iran has proven successful in preventing irregular migrants and smugglers, especially terrorists, from entering the country.

Every precaution is being taken at the border to prevent illegal crossings and eliminate terrorists. Turkish security forces are able to instantly detect individuals attempting to illegally enter Turkey from Iran through the Integrated Security System while they are still outside the border.

Border units are on alert around-the-clock, tasked with catching irregular migrants then delivering them to the relevant institutions.

Thanks to the capabilities of the border security system, security forces detected 1,693 irregular migrants approaching the border in 85 incidents in the region in the last month and prevented them from entering the country.

Personnel overseeing the manned and unmanned watchtowers, which are deployed at different points on the road along the wall, keep their eyes fixed on the border, ready to report any violations, as security forces patrol the road in armored vehicles manufactured with domestically produced resources. Both are on constant alert, ready to prevent any threat.

In addition, wire and panel fences have been fixed to the top of the wall to discourage those attempting to illegally climb over it.

The project was initiated in 2015 with the aim of stemming the ever-increasing flow of irregular mass migration along Turkey's 2,949 kilometers of land borders. Since 2015, 837 kilometers of Turkey's 1,295-kilometer southern border have been sealed with a border wall. In the east, walls have been erected along 168 kilometers of the 1,182-kilometer border since work began in 2017.

The construction of a wall along 73 kilometers of Turkey's 2,477-kilometer eastern and southern land borders, all neighboring Iran, also continued this year. Work is ongoing to bolster the 238-kilometer stretch along the Iranian border in the east and 33 kilometers on the border shared with Iraq in the south.

Faced with a potential migrant wave due to the instability in Afghanistan, Turkey has maximized measures on its eastern border. Turkey is continuing efforts to bolster the security of its border with Iran to prevent any new influx of migrants. The beefed-up border measures in Turkey, which already hosts nearly 4 million Syrian refugees and is a staging post for many migrants trying to reach Europe, began as the Taliban started advancing in Afghanistan and took over Kabul.

Turkey is not the only country putting up barriers. Its neighbor Greece recently completed a 40-kilometer fence and surveillance system to keep out migrants who manage to enter Turkey and attempt to reach the European Union.

Authorities say there are 182,000 registered Afghan migrants in Turkey and up to an estimated 120,000 more unregistered ones. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged European countries to take responsibility in the event of an influx, warning that Turkey had no intention of becoming "Europe's migrant storage unit."

Turkey has been a key transit point for asylum-seekers attempting to cross into Europe to start new lives, especially those fleeing war and persecution. Concerns have risen over a possible spike in migrants from Afghanistan, due to the United States' pullout from the country and the following surge of Taliban attacks. Turkey has made it clear that it will not bear the burden of the migration crises experienced as a result of the decisions of third countries.

Turkey hosts nearly 4 million refugees – more than any country in the world. After the Syrian civil war broke out in 2011, Turkey adopted an “open-door policy” for people fleeing the conflict, granting them “temporary protection” status. Afghans are believed to be the second-largest refugee community in Turkey after Syrians. Many of the migrants arriving via Iran are heading for Istanbul to find work or passage to another coastal city from which to embark for Europe.

WTF .
refugees without assault rifles aren't considered as refugees in Türkiye...
But if you don't have AK-47 any moment you can be labeled as a terrorist.

How many AK-47 have been entered with refugees in to Turkey

RIP

Illegal immigrants killed a Turkish soldier .
Infant Sergeant Savaş Dinç while trying to maintain Turkish borders, was martyred as a result of the fire opened by illegal immigrants trying to enter Turkey .

What is even worse is that if such soldier tried to protect himself, responded, and ended up killing him, the TSK and border security will start to be labelled as genociders, refugee killers, and barbarians etc....

No, pretty sure you are allowed to defend yourself against hostile fire. All they need to do is produce video footage to shut up naysayers.

Istanbul to turn into UN hub, humanitarian operation center

Önder Yılmaz - ISTANBUL

Istanbul to turn into UN hub, humanitarian operation center

The comprehensive efforts of Turkish authorities toward the goal of turning Istanbul into a U.N. hub in line with Turkey’s business and humanitarian foreign policy are bearing fruit.

The U.N. will relocate some headquarters to Istanbul from Geneva and open an Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the metropolis to support field operations worldwide.

A proposal for approval of the agreement between Turkey and the U.N. on the establishment of OCHA in Istanbul was accepted at the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Parliament.

With this move, the U.N. will manage and support humanitarian crises in the world, especially in the Middle East, from Istanbul.

The office will also provide services on a global and regional scale in areas such as the planning, monitoring, the coordination of humanitarian aid and tracking of financial transactions.

Speaking to Milliyet daily, Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran said that OCHA’s arrival in Istanbul will be an important step in terms of transforming Istanbul into a U.N. hub.

“It will also strengthen our relations with OCHA and the U.N.,” he said.

Currently, nine U.N. agencies are operating in Istanbul, and efforts are underway for eight more critical U.N. agencies to open offices in Istanbul, together with OCHA which also has two regional branches, both in the capital Ankara and in the southern province of Gaziantep, addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the war-torn Syria.

All of the U.N.’s cross-border humanitarian aid operations against Syria are carried out through the Cilvegözü Border Gate in the southern province of Hatay.

These aids, the process of which are coordinated by OCHA, reach nearly 2.5 million people in need in a month.

And by UN hub, they mean that Istanbul will become a dumping ground for every illegal migrant under the sun.

Lovely, Istanbul is right on track to become just like Los Angeles.

Measures taken by Turkey prevented migrant influx from Afghanistan'

Measures taken by Turkey have prevented a possible migrant influx from Afghanistan following the Taliban's takeover of the country, the governor of Turkey's eastern border province Van said Tuesday.

The Coordination Meeting for Combating Irregular Migration was held in Van with the participation of officials from three eastern provinces, including Van, Hakkari and Bitlis.

Stating that the gendarmerie, police, border units and migration directorates had been successfully fighting against irregular migration, Van Governor Mehmet Emin Bilmez emphasized that coordination between institutions is at its highest.

"A wave of migration was expected after the Taliban took over the administration in Afghanistan. There was a serious concern that this migration would lead to Van via Iran. Thanks to the measures taken, it was seen that the border could not be crossed, it was not possible to cross here, and the expected great migration wave did not occur," he said.

Underlining that though the migration pressure for Turkey this year has not been more than last year, he said the measures they have taken are at a higher level than the previous year.

"We need to continue by increasing the measures. Developments in Afghanistan and the region always make the border crossing of this region important. The measures taken at the border, the construction of concrete walls continues," he added.

In Van, which has the longest border with Iran, security forces are taking every possible precaution to prevent illegal crossings, smuggling activities and the infiltration of terrorists by constantly monitoring and patrolling the border with armored vehicles.

In the face of a potential migrant wave due to the instability emanating from Afghanistan, Turkey has maximized its measures on its eastern border. The country has also continued efforts to bolster the security of its border with Iran to prevent any new migrant wave in the face of recent developments in Afghanistan. The beefed-up border measures in Turkey began as the Taliban started advancing in Afghanistan and took over Kabul in August.

Turkey has been a key transit point for asylum-seekers attempting to cross into Europe to start new lives, especially those fleeing war and persecution. Concerns have risen over a possible spike in migrants from Afghanistan due to the United States' pullout from the country and the subsequent surge of Taliban attacks. Turkey has made it clear that it will not bear the burden of the migration crises experienced as a result of the decisions of third-party countries. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged European countries to take responsibility for any new influx, warning that Turkey had no intention of becoming "Europe's migrant storage unit."

Shouldn't there be razorwire on top of those walls built. And a necessary follow up would imo require barrier of sorts 3 meter below groundlevel.

prof. Dr. Faruk Şen: Syrian temporary asylum seekers are intensively given citizenship

Citizenship granted to Syrians with temporary asylum status. Dr. It was on Faruk Şen's agenda.

09 December 2021 02:41Updated: 09 December 2021 08:07
prof. Dr. Faruk Şen: Syrian temporary asylum seekers are intensively given citizenship

prof. Dr. Faruk Şen wrote in his article today, “While the Syrians who went to Europe and received refugee status there, their right to asylum has been canceled and their return is accelerated due to the thought that peace has been established in their own country, while the number of them in Turkey has reached 5.4 million, and the government has exceeded the 91 billion dollar limit to date. Citizenship is given very seriously to the Syrians whom it spends more than its money.” said.

“According to the determinations made by the Victory Party to date, 900 thousand Syrians have been granted Turkish citizenship in an accelerated manner.” Şen said, “Syrians who want to become citizens are transported to the citizenship office of the Ministry of Interior from many parts of Ankara by buses.

At this rate, there will be a significant increase in our population in a very short time, with 5.4 million Syrian temporary asylum seekers excluding births. Why is it done? Is it desired to gradually create an ummah identity by changing the Turkish national identity in Turkey, or are Syrians given citizenship to account for votes in the elections? used the phrases.

prof. Dr. Faruk Şen concluded his words as follows:

“While European democratic countries such as Denmark and Germany are sending Syrian refugees back, Turkey almost gives incentives for more Syrians to come. This has to come to an end. The temporary stay of Syrian refugees in Turkey must have expired. It is imperative that Syrians who set up businesses in Turkey and do not pay any taxes at their workplaces should return gradually. The most serious work on this subject is Prof. Dr. The Victory Party, of which Ümit Özdağ is the Chairman, is holding.

Other parties of the opposition are quite insensitive on this issue. While the People's Alliance is trying to increase its votes with new citizens, no one pays attention to Turkey's problems. Recently, 9,000 Turkish doctors went to Germany due to Syrian illegal doctors who came to Turkey. Health personnel are going abroad in droves, but Syrian and Afghan fugitives are now operating in every branch of Turkey.”
