There's just under 4 million Syrians who were granted legal temporary protection status. Every family has been pumping out babies despite their situation... Then there are all the Afghans, Syrians, Iraqis, Pakistanis, etc. who crossed the border and are living in Türkiye illegally. Everyday there are videos emerging of hundreds of Afghans entering from the Iranian border. There's also those who fly to Türkiye and don't leave within 90 days... Then there are the hundreds of thousands who have received citizenship.

The number easily surpasses 7 million.

The UN only counts the Syrians that have been officially counted by the government.

Because so many people have been breaking through the border, we don't have an official number. But it's much, much higher than what AKP or the UN claim.
I asked for a source. Not for an estimation.

And I asked it to @Asena_great , since he was the one confidently giving a number which was "slightly" -13 million- higher than yours.

Rubber bullets work great. Turkey just sold us several 100k rounds. Maybe Turkish border gaurd can use some for themselves.

Yeah but our border guards won’t do it. If they do they will be thrown in jail by the sultan. Refugees and migrants are first class citizens in Turkey. If you do something to them, you’re going to be in trouble.

The situation in Kayseri is heating up as news that Syrians molested a 5 years old girl came. Businesses and places of Syrian refugees are being burned down by the local people.

MHP Kayseri Deputy İsmail Özdemir:

“As MHP, it is our expectation to ensure that our Syrian guests return to their country with dignity as soon as possible for the peace and security of Turkiye.”

We need to return to rule of law as soon as possible. Both who ever did what to that child and all those destroying the belongings of random people need to see the wrath of justice. We're not in Somalia.

Hard disagree. If this refugee shit is going to be solved, this needs to be more and more common. Otherwise we will go quietly into the night. By 2071, Turkish presence in Anatolia will be zero. Politicians need to be pressed hard, or they will drag their feet.
