You have people justifying open borders because not to feel racist or because of Ummah reasons.

But in the past open borders has never been allowed even the Ottomans had a strict policy of who can get into their empire.
I perfectly understand. And I am guessing there is at least a few dickheads out there to advise the president on the absurdity of of such a policy! Why do you think the president insists?

For a outsider , situation seems tensed and more worrying than the inflation issue , i can't even imagine what a average Turk feels , if the migrants are at a conservative estimate to be around 8.5 million , that's 10% of your population , that's not a small group by any measure

Turkiye is also a bridge between Europe and Asia.

Smuggling is a big business so many illegal immigrants especially women and children are getting trafficked.

Lets not forget the organ trade since many are young males dont be surprised many are having their organs taken out.

Its pretty dirty and filthy business.

Not to say Turkiye is the only country so many countries have the same problem but Turkiye has always been a bridge for smuggling into Europe and Asia.
I wonder if it is a blessing or a curse, our geo-politics! I would not really blame the current government for all of that. Law reinforcement has been fighting against such organized-crime for as long as I remember. But I also sense that such crimes are hardly a priority today, refugees (as you say) taking away a chunk of the police work.

There is a lot more to say, but I would like to leave it here;)

I am just trying to understand where you stand...

Erdoğan is a shrew politician, he sure knows that there is no political return of an “open border” policy when there is so much opposition, even rage from public (including a not-so-small part of his voters!) Are you suggesting he is insisting on such policies to get a pat on the shoulder for a mission “well done”? No, he is more than that.

If our republic is in such despair to accept bribe to keep refugees outside Europe, I agree, that is just a disgrace. At this point, are you suggesting that to use refugees as a leverage (and threaten to open the gates of hell!) serves a single purpose, to maintain a flow of the alms?

I have not heard of Erdoğan making such a call, “come, whoever you are, come!”, at any platform! Are you suggesting that the sole purpose of the “open borders“ policy is to serve a consolidated ummah?

Are you suggesting that our administration is totally ignorant of a simple fact that there will be great chaos when you let loose so many assholes in a law abiding crowd?

Somehow I have got the idea that you and I are not talking about a same person or policy. I am with you on much of the criticizm you put forth, you can vouch for that, but I also do like to hear any probability, idea, or policy that hides behind the curtain. I would like to know the truth as much as you do!
I can speak for myself - in my opinion, all this serves to destabilize turkey.. whether Erdogan is just playing along in a play, or whether he really is ignorant of the possible consequences - I can't say. If the plan is to set up the refugees as a protective shield against the PKK - then time is slowly running out.. because more and more refugees are infiltrating the population and disappearing from the scene. Unlike in Europe, the phenotype in turkey is a similar one, which makes them stand out in the crowd. Alarming and dangerous.

There is also an unknown part of militants and armed refugees who see turkey as their right of inheritance as Islamists - the dangerous thing is, mixed with the PKK's activity in the east of turkey, it can lead to serious problems in the east. Although there is no army in the world that is as practiced in counter-guerrilla as the Turkish one - but all that would involve sanctions of the West and great human suffering... we are running out of time...
I always viewed Erdogan but also the opposition a little critically, but the AKP as the lesser evil... he was the only one who actively pursued a policy of aggression against northern Syria and northern Iraq... this picture has now changed because of the threat posed by his internal policies has assumed greater proportions than that of the PKK via Iraq.
The only thing that I know for sure and what many try to suppress is:

The wave of refugees at the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 was provoked and brought about by the west and primarily by the USA.
Back then the Europeans spoke of empathy and understanding and caring for war refugees, which started this mass dynamic - and the USA LITERALLY founded, trained, and armed the FSA - on Turkish soil... a large part of it became ISIS (they had the same back then done with the Taliban).

There are no politicians in Turkey and not a single party - which shows no connections to any fraternities and support groups in the west. each of them either has connections to the WLF, PKK, Soros, CIA, etc. Each and every one of them has dirt on them and that's why I am of the OPINION AND MORE THAN SURE - that turkey will never stabilize and each of them has some agenda persecuted - until the day when Turkey lets itself be broken and submits without hesitation...

Our infiltrators don't care which means are used for this...

With some it was the PKK that was bred by the secret service - a deep state and functionaries of NATO (Gladio), with others it was refugees and other chaos...again, others shut down large projects for an autarchic Turkey and closed factories for no reason...
I see black for our nation... call it pessimism, but unfortunately, that's how it is... maybe it's because of the mentality...?
But the Turkish people are just too spirited and uneducated not to let themselves be tempted into chaos by a bit of pop culture and propaganda, as is the case in every generation (GEZI).

You have many criminals who escaped their own country.

They are basically ghosts to whichever country they go to.
Since noone will look for them, you may as well shoot on sight!!!

In Germany, locals stopped and attacked refugee transports with human chains, attacked the bus drivers and passengers, just because they were settled far outside of city centers, in REALLY SMALL container villages with strict exit controls -
In some cities, refugees were hunted down like cattle so they voluntarily lived in isolation... The Turks were too naive and forgiving for too long...
In addition, the Turkish GenZ is even more metrosexual and submissive than the European one... with many homosexuals and transsexuals who consume too much Instagram and Facebook.
They would never take action against such groups - unlike east german people who define patriotism differently... realtalk...

He cant get under control because he f*cked it up by accepting eu money.

Now he tells Europeans that they live security because of him really embarassing.

Erdogan needs to realise that helping people and helping your own Muslim brothers and sisters does not mean you open the borders and flood the place neither do you help criminals or rapists.

Erdogan cant play the Ummah or the humanity card bs anymore because people have had it.

No law and order means the place is a jungle.

the eu didnt give money as far as i know, they funded their own projects with their bureaucracy and with that bureaucracy, planning and such is expensive so doubt most of that money that was agreed reached even those so called refugees or illegals lel I dont know what was going on inside his head for all these years, it was very clearly said years ago that if he doesnt bring the numbers down he will lose the election and now he even doubled the numbers from back then lel

whatever the reason for letting so many illegal migrants in, it needs to be fixed and erdo needs to retire. thats to much mischief he caused for the population and the population itself needs to vote someone in with a plan because rn there is no turkish border and all that unknown illegal folks are entering as they wish.

“reply” button somehow failed!

Plans to de-stabilize Turkey is rather archived news! Student clashes prior to 1980, the coup d’etat, de-politicization of the public, rise of fundamentalism, PKK recruting masses in the east, Syria’s civil war, IS, flood of refugees… literally got tired of writing… And this will continue for as long as Turkey is an obstacle en-route to West’s long desired goals, unless of course, we attain a higher spot in the food chain!

Turkey still struggles with such headaches, even today, and at a cost. But Syria’s civil war, and the territorial gains of YPG/PKK as a result, present a far greater threat to our integrity, as interpreted by the government. Now I would not go as far to say it is a “matter of life or death”, but it is a credible threat as could be. Desperate times call for drastic measures. I guess Erdogan could be after a controversial solution to get rid of the problem and its consequences. once and for all. That is why I have speculated on a most likely relocation of refugees. He may already be in pursuit of such a deal with the west…

Just a little side note; I guess it is a spelling error, the word “uneducated”. Those that organized “Gezi” were the elite, problem was the infiltrators under the banner of freedom!

EDIT: Pressured by public and political opponents, administration, especially this past week, is quite vocal about (voluntary!) return of refugees…

i saw a 28 years old pakistani kidnap back then 9 years old turkish girl back to pakistan now she is 13 years old why the fuck we dont see any respond from goverment ????

fuck this ummah sh!try all those tarikats and smugglers who cause this will pay dearly
Apparently she was 13 and is now 17 with 3 children. He supposedly "fell in love" with her at first sight. And chewed her out for speaking Turkish on video and demanded she speak Urdu.

I recall a similar case in France where a Pakistani migrant tried to kidnap and rape a little Russian girl because she looked at him once or something and they "had a connection". The French at least didn't fuck around and sentenced him to life imprisonment without parole. He probably got skewered by another inmate in there anyway, pedophiles' life expectancy in prison can be usually measured in minutes.

I've known some very nice Pakistanis but good God is their cultural attitude towards woman just completely screwed. I am not surprised in the least when I hear civilized Pakistani diaspora go on about all the things they hate about Pakistan.

According to some AKP sources, Erdoğan is seriously thinking about not becoming a candidate. If the economic situation doesn't improve Erdoğan might not be a presidential candidate. Latest polls suggest that Kılıçdaroğlu is tied with Erdogan, İmamoğlu slightly wins, and Mansur wins with a comfortable landslide victory. Things are getting worse and worse for Erdoğan currently I would say there is a %33 chance that Erdoğan won't run for the presidency at all.

%91+ of the Turkish people want refugees to return to their countries. Erdoğan is trying to act against the will of the people, especially in this dire economic environment.

Can you please rephrase the last paragraph? For a second I thought you said “Erdogan is trying to act against the will of people…”. Interpretation of this in any language is “political suicide”. Why do think he is doing this? Or, is there a covert agenda, or a merit in doing so?

EDIT: Man, I am still in tears laughing… tie with Kilicdaroglu? Kilicdaroglu as in the focal point of a US project, to trim down the left, so left never wins an election, ever again? …as absurd as it gets:ROFLMAO:

Yeah currently AKP is in free fall. Anyone can understand the seriousness of the situation if Erdogan is tied with Kılıçdaroğlu. Mansur Yavaş is %17+ ahead of Erdogan it won't even be a close fight if Mansur steps up.

Numbers are one problem, the other problem is the type of people.

The average Turk until now had no idea how culturally, mentally and socially different Turkey and Turks are from the average Afghan and Pakistani. At best, the nearest interaction they had 10, 5, 3 years ago was in a taxi or restaurant and confused Turkish hospitality as an out of jail card. I used to warn Turks here on the green forum years ago, that Pakistanis and Turks can never be brothers and was banned multiple times for this. I warned, when Afghans and Pakistanis come to Turkey, other peoples will look civilised.

I am glad Turkish people are coming to realise this now. Unfortunately, with this growing trend the same average Turk will not be able to differentiate other South East Asians from Pakistanis and Afghans. Had we had the same number of “other” Asians as we did Pakistanis and Afghans we would not have anything near this problem. These two groups are notorious for the kind of crimes we are seeing today.

Here is the underlying problem….

I see the PeeDF going crazy right now about Turks being “nationalists” you should see the comments and propaganda they are peddling about Turkish DNA and “national” identity. Why now? Because Turk masses have woken up to what a toxic nation Pakistan is and rightly want nothing to do with it.

They whitewash crimes committed by their own people by victim blaming and shaming, they ignore that there is an underlying problem with their nation but prefer to blame Turks for being nationalists, Europeans for being racist, Indians for spreading “propaganda” about Pakistan because they want an invitation to commit their sexual crimes, culture and zealotry in places where it is unacceptable.

I saw past Pakistani “brotherhood” in the early days, we could never be brothers with these zealots who were giving sermons that the 1999 earthquake in Turkey was “gods punishment on secular Turks”.

When you see past the “ummah” lip service they use to gain sympathy, they start projecting insecurities by calling you “secular”, “not Muslim enough” this is the problem, they have a resentment and jealousy, a resentment for anything “modern”, “different” and more successful than them because these groups feel entitled, notice how the same “ummah” Pakistanis talk about Afghans, butchered Bengalis, hate Indians? also talk about racism from Turks now.

Reality is these people (Afghans, Pakistanis) have a confused culture, confused religion, confused history, confused identity, a confused concept of nationalism, even the secular Pakistanis are cringe as the zealots, they claim IVC while denying they are a part of the larger Indian civilization. I wont derail the thread but this is an artificial state, that we will be hearing more in the future with conflicts and civil wars. It is best intellectuals in Turkey, and the government prepares itself for the influx of these trolls 20, 30, 50, years from now.

@borchadinho its in entirely possible for Pakistan to have both the scumbags that are groping and raping girls on the streets and i.e. educated, secular people who dont.

Clearly not the best citizens are leaving their country on the land route to Europe and Turkey, because those who can afford will find a job abroad and not march thousands of km. The world is not black and white.

You're missing the point. I first-hand witness racism against Turks in Germany and maybe unlike you, thats why I have the ability to to see greyscale instead of just black and white. There are bad apples in every country, its up to the government to regulate migration and to remove those from the system that can not obey the rules of the country.

Those people resorting to self-justice and beating up immigrants themselves are bad apples and need to be removed from the system too, in an ideal world/Turkey.
