i believe those the business owners, the skilled Syrians are needed in syria more than ever. it is time for these guests to return home they did the same with iraqi refugees whom fled to syria after the war those iraqi refugees in syria were deported them back to iraq we are doing the same thing. it doesn't matter how log does it takes to deport them whether 5 or 10 years they all will be deported. the rule of law is supreme over virtue signaling if you keep them here you also signal all the people all over middle east that there is a free state here in turkey

My young Syrians friends are totally inseparable from Turks and they refer to Türkiye as "us/we". They are already Turkified in my opinion. I can see their kids in future saying things like "bizimkiler de Halep göçmeni". It will be just like Albanian, Circassian, Bosniak migrants in our society.

This injection of young people will benefit Türkiye's demographics and it will strengthen our bonds with the future Syria and the Arab world.

Import refers to good and things not people. But yes we could offer visa schemes and incentives.

We could use them to exert influence in Syria.

The end goal, apart from destroying YPG, should be to make Syria dependant on Türkiye and make it a mutually beneficial relationship. We should train their military, arm them, make them use our currency, sell them our products, etc.

It's good that Jolani seems to be open to secular rule. We need to make sure that if they become a vassal state, they adhere to our principles. If they go full Afghanistan then in a few years they'll get carved up by a coalition once again. A historic opportunity is presented to us, we need to play our cards right.

If in 50 years Turks become less than 50% of the population, the country will be screwed. Whats interesting North African and Levant Arabs seem to be the most similar to Turkiye.

Due to Ottoman Rule not to mention Turks all migrated and lived in Syria, Iraq and Egypt for centuries while migration to the Gulf even during Ottoman times were pretty much low.

Thats why Levantine Arabic has so much Turkish words. Influence and migration counts.

Turkic World and the Arab World are also not a monolithic entity.

What interests me the most after the Ottoman Empire most Arab countries also Israel all had peolle that came from the Ottoman Empire either they served as politicians, lobbyists or military personnel.

I also support migration from the Turkic countries, especially Turkmens, Uyghurs and Uzbeks. However, Turkish state already invested in the Syrian youth to Turkify them. Sending them all back would be a waste. Some will stay, some will return and that will cause further integration of Syria -especially northern Syria- to Türkiye.

Btw, I'm sure you never been to any Turkic or Arab countries but I have. Syrians are closer to Anatolian Turks than most of the Central Asian Turks.

im a turkmen and i have been to turkmenistan and i defend turkey and its culture everywhere i go i dont see arabs are doing that, and i have saw many arabs during my studies in turkey whether they were from eygpt, syria, iraq, yemen, Libya or Palestine, turkish people have nothing in common with them quite opposite they were united in their anti turkish/ottoman hatred despite they were receiving scholarship from Turkish state ( something i didnt) they wouldn't shy away to tell how much they hated ottoman colonist and turks should pay reparation for the ottoman colonialism syrians also told us how we ruined syria and all the money (200 billion dollars) that turkish state spend on syrians actually were given by EU and even worst they said they knew EU gave more money but turks are stealing the money also hatay belongs to syria

There is a solution to that, create something similar to the French Foreign Legion. This way, after a few years of service, foreign combatants will have the possibility to ask for citizenship.

There is no precedent or law as such other than humanitarian conditions, that would stop us from repatriating refugees back to their countries.
United Nations relevant laws clearly state that:

For the millions of people forced to flee, returning home concludes an often traumatic time in exile. It may happen months, years, or even decades after they left.

When it is safe to do so, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, facilitates refugees and other forcibly displaced people to return home. it coordinates large-scale and individual repatriations and work to ensure any returns are voluntary, safe and dignified.
Refugees and internally displaced people can only return home in safety once the root causes for their displacement have been addressed and lasting peace is achieved.

Now, the “voluntary“ part is important.

That is why at border crossings now; Turkish Authorities are getting signed consensual departure declarations from all departees to Syria.

Coerced repatriation is not within UN charter; and is illegal for refugees. But it is legal for migrants.
So when the country they ran away from due to threat of persecution is no longer dangerous to return to, then they become outright migrants. And should logically be legal to forcibly return them.
