I actually wonder what CATS will be in the future. Will Aselsan abandon the CATS project after the emergence of these new products, or will CATS continue to develop? For example, with new and advanced sensors, new algorithms and improved servo motors?

It will be cannibalized by F500C.

Mr Ismail Demir: (Chip factory) "We have serious efforts to become a part of the company in Malaysia (Silterra) and then that will be transferred to Turkiye"

Looking at Silterra's website they only have 110nm as their most advances process. If a 65nm process is to be acquired it will be new for tem too. Unless the chip factory to be founded in Ankara is meant to involve some other partners than Silterra, that is.

Bence bu ürünün hensold ile ilgisi yok.

Aselsan zaten yıllardır çalışıyor. Bu normal gelişimin bir sonucudur.

Bu durum Aselsan dergilerinden takip edilebilir.

Probably some of the shares of Silterra Malaysia factory will be acquired and a new factory will be established on the allocated land in Ankara with partnership of Silterra and Turk institutes (Yongatek, Tubitak, Aselsan...etc) and the production technology will be 65nm for Turkish chip factory. This is the process Yongatek manager told for the factory to be established in Ankara. Silterra Mayasia can produce at 110nm but Turkiye's new processor Çakıl and Yongatek's video processing chip Kırmık are produced with 65nm production technology as well.

Yongatek is working on video processing and communications chips initially and there is the general purpose chip Çakıl. it would be best if chips to power MMU computers can be made locally in Ankara in time for MMU production. I am not sure how critical it would be to use foreign chips for MMU computing rather than Turkish made ones.
