at this point of time ,US and Japan must've understood the importance of collective strength, I'm not saying there's going to be another Southeast Asian NATO anytime soon, but there's definietly going to be a massive foreign policy re-calibration notably among usually chill with China country like Malaysia or Indonesia.

A nightmare for US and it's Japanese allies is a scenario where they faced off the Chinese while having a friendly SE Asia with Beijing.
