METU Space Technology Development Zone is Established
within the scope of Turkey's National Space Program, together with METU, domestic and foreign investors will host the Space Technology Development Zone, it will be established in Ankara Golbasi.
METU Rector Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök stated that various universities, especially METU, ITU and Sabancı, would support the National Space Program announced by President Erdoğan.

Incubation, office and partial production infrastructures will be included for the training strategies.
Rector Kök stated that the doors of METU Space Technopolis will be open to those working in the fields of aviation and space, engineering and basic sciences, and that new career areas will be created especially for students who continue their doctorate in the YÖK 100/2000 program.
In the making of the first exports from Turkey in the space sector will also contribute to the METU Technopolis indicating Root, with Argentina-based TAI Invap S.E. stated that the first overseas sales of new generation communication satellite technologies will be made to Argentina by GSATCOM Uzay Teknolojileri A.Ş.
