Why didn't Turkey went for DSI?

TF-X I believe is air superiority first, thus needs maximum performance profile available in the mach 2+ environment.

DSI can face certain compromises in this environment as it is not variable geometry.

It is matter of pros and cons....of what you want in the design profile, dependent on your doctrine with other aircraft in your arsenal.

What is DSI?

Divertless supersonic intake. The bump that F-35 has at its intake, that F-22 does not.

Turkey could theoretically use spare F110-GE-129 engines in its inventory,
These engines’ FADEC etc all set up for single engine configuration. For twin engines we were let to believe, they purchased 5 “sets?” f15 twin engine configured f110ge129’s. (But in one of his speeches , Mr Aksit stated that these engines will be built by TEI. )
Yes if push comes to shove, we will use some of the spare f110ge129’s in our inventory. I would not think they would be against any contracts. But we will have to reconfigure them.

Has someone a clearer picture of the poster behind the folks? That greyish camo really suits the TF-X.
It's basically the same with the F-22 scheme:

Not yet discussing this new development ???

Head of SSB, Demir said, "We are working on the involvement of friendly and allied countries in the MMU project. This project will become a joint project of friendly and brotherly allies after a while. There is no delay. The project is progressing according to the expected pace and schedule."

The partnership that İsmail Demir mentions in the Turkish source used as the source of the article is more like KFX / IFX. That's why I don't think Pakistan will join TFX when it has a Chinese option.
