It was stated that it will have a payload capacity of ~10 tons. Nice to see it confirmed.

And an exact 0.95 with indigenous engines.
About 8000 kg of fuel then, similar to F22 and F35 probably. Which means rather short radius with 2 engines. I was hoping for more

GTU-0 does not include some structural technologies that will be used in the final aircraft, especially the titanium bulkheads that will be produced with the world's largest 3D printer. Not only the fuselage, but also the systems will decrease towards optimal weight.

I searched for the link for a while and couldn't find it, but I remembered that the weight loss that will come with the new bulkheads alone is around 3 tons.

Money is always a factor, it's just nothing meaningful babble from F. Aksit, otherwise the titanium bottleneck would have been taken care of long ago.
Instead, there were significant delays from various suppliers from South East Asia & Co, partly due to poor quality of the material, but nothing that could not be solved with money provided you want to pay an very outrageous price.
@Yasar_TR give a clear and undisputed answer to that.

What is the difference between gross weight and maximum takeoff weight in aircraft? There is a 6-7 ton difference.

For example:
F-35
Gross weight: 22,471 kg
Maximum takeoff weight: 29,900 kg

Gross weight is the total weight of aircraft itself+load+fuel+passenger(s) whereas maximum take off weight (MTOW) is the “highest weight at which the aircraft certified to take off

At your example, F35 never should exceed the designated 29,900 kg MTOW limit.

Does this update mean we are one step closer to the next prototype and its flight?
Good question. I wonder that myself. I see people still debate Number of prototypes to be built but there should be a ‘final/ultimate’ one that is the closest to serial production version.

So we'll have to wait for a new prototype to be made. We have to follow the norm on building prototype and testing them. Doesn't that mean the previous prototypes won't progress / tested any further ?

It's wholly politicized and that whole thing frankly doesn't mean anything. "80%" localization is useless when it currently uses an ITAR engine for starters.
Although i agree with your take, making a domestic engine out of nothing is not an ordinary achievement. It's much easier to find an alternative for an ITAR engine than find alternative for both ITAR engine AND other critical parts such as AESA radar, EOTS, domestic munition etc. So that take is not solely or wholly political.
