I've seen in several places that Egypt is interested in the Kaan fighter jet. Is there any reliable source about this? There hasn't been any official statement from our side.

Spain doesn’t need fighter jets immediately like the east European countries. Spain is far away from any battlefields, like Poland or Türkiye.

I agree with @Sanchez about Spain could entertain the idea of Hürjet and Drones on Juan Carlos, but tbh I don't think Spain needs any naval fighterjets, if drones can fulfill 80% of the tasks of a manned fighterjets.

They are so far away from conflict zones and the refugee boats are the biggest issue they have.

Yet one mustn’t forget the Spanish overseas territories.
They have the Balearic and Canary Islands, and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla in North Africa. Canary Islands are nearly 1500km away. They need a navy capable to protect these territories. Being part of the EU also imparts certain obligations to the defence of EU borders. They are part of this economic community and enjoy the economic benefits and power of that community. They wouldn’t and couldn’t detach themselves from that.

I said it before and I will repeat it KAAN will have at least 500 in sales. Just let it be a good Airplane. The Trust in the big power is less and many Muslim countries want to be part of this for different reasons. Some countries will potentially order 78+ KAAN. Other than all kinds of Ammunition and related drones.

Like you I think there may be Muslim states that will be attracted to buy KAAN. Very importantly, too, if a Turkish engine is used, it removes the problem of the US blocking supply by refusing to allow supply with a US engine.

Hmm I mean, 150 Turkey at least short term, 50 Indonesia, and then maybe Saudi and Spain 50 each at best? Who else is really interested?

Consider that pakistan is already buying chinese aircraft and azerbaijan is buying j17 and kaan is overkill for them. Oh maybe qatar one day

Capable? Yes. Affordable? Unlikely. Algeria is buying su35 and su57. Egypt and uae are politically not positioned properly still. Nigeria does not have such infrastructureand budget. Ukraine and kazakhstan are not very likely either.

Middle Eastern countries are acting in line with the Israel–US axis, but a strong Turkey with influence in the region can disrupt this axis. We just need a bit more time.

Nigeria has enormous potential and will become one of the most populous countries in the coming years. Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are two rapidly developing nations.

Ukraine is already our partner in engine production and will be one of the first customers of both Kızılelma and Kaan.

I can see Ukraine buying Kaan in the next decade with the TF35000 engine. I see used Gripen C from Sweden coming first. Sweden has about 100 C/D in service which I think will gradually reduce to 60 as Gripen E numbers build up.

South Africa for Kaan? Last time I read about its Gripen fleet, it was reported that there was a tiny number of pilots (<6?) current on Gripen to fly around 30 aircraft. My take: someone diverted a lot of money into their own pockets. I don't see SA buying and operating Kaan. If someone in power were to make money out of a purchase, I think SA might buy them. As to actually operating them, I suppose that would depend on how the operating budget was spent. If there were a repeat of Gripen, I guess they would risk becoming hangar queens.

The list doesnt seem that unrealistic to me. You can add 2-3 South American countries, if you want.
I asked 'Erdo' how many KAAN THK get in the long run. He said, between 250-300.

Few years ago, I read that unit cost of F-35 was less than $ 80 mio. Thats affordable.
