People need to forget getting Russian and Chinese jets.

Either the TFX or Nato and European jets. France will most likely not sell any rafales to us, Swedish gripen use american engines, americans wont sell us shit, typhoon is a good option but wont happen neither will the tornado happen because that plane is becoming obsolete.

Its make or break.

Wouldn't be better for first block of MMU not to have bomb bay like KF-21 did? It would save time for the 2028-29 goal. Space can be leaved in the design to be added in next block. There is no clarification on this yet.

I like the idea of stealth pod, not sure how feasible they are though.

TF-X calender.

2023 rollout, production of more prototypes
2023-2025 ground tests, production of more prototypes
2025 first flight, production of more prototypes ( I expect 6 to 9 prototypes will be produced)
2025-2028 air tests and integration and testing of advanced subsystems/equipment and weapons(National EOTS, BURFIS etc)
2028 Inıtial delivery of TFX block 1 and LRIP production (With F110 engines probably 1 TFX per month it might be even less)
2028+ Updates, capacity, ability improvement at system and subsystem levels, more weapon integration, and national engine integration. Reaching initial operational capability(IOC)
2030+ Delivery of the first TF-X block 2 with the national engine, the start of serial production(2 per month for ~10 years for 250 fighters), reaching final operational capability (FOC)

Projected airforce in 2040s
250+ TF-X of various blocks
An unknown number of unmanned fighter jets( This is not MIUS it is a real unmanned supersonic fighter jet. It will be announced in 2026 it will be similar to Hurjet in size. It has a similar schedule to TF-X and will serve with the TF-X as a manned-unmanned combo)
F-16 Block 50+ maybe some leftover 50s all nationally modernized close to retirement.
F-16 block 30/40s and most of the 50s retired/used for spares.

Thats hilarious. You can never give an exact date.
Roll out is with engine running; systems that enables this are not too many.
First flight May 18 2025 is 24 months after roll out which is ample time.
Year 2028 is not dated to the day or month, all sounds reasonable.

Kotil stated that they formed a partnership to develop and produce landing gear that will carry a load of 60 tons with the force emerging during the landing. We have a partnership with Altınay, TUSAŞ and an Italian company. The Italian company also makes the landing gear for Hürjet together with Altınay. Turkey is here to make landing gear. The team got the talent."

Temel Kotil: "We have ASELSAN for avionics and computer hardware, we have HAVELSAN for software, TUSAŞ has its own software team. The actuators that provide the movements of the wings and control surfaces in warplanes are in partnership with TUSAŞ, Altınay and a Ukrainian company. We are working to produce the transparent canopy surrounding the cockpit locally. The aircraft has a very effective radar in its nose. We gave this task to ASELSAN, it is doing it. There are sensors and sensors on the aircraft, we gave them to ASELSAN, HAVELSAN. Central computers are made by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM. Pavotek is developing the power distribution system. We have activated all the capabilities in Turkey on this aircraft. Building a fighter jet means engaging all the elements that can contribute. We give work to anyone who wants to do. TAI's main role here is design, finishing geometry. The outer geometry is finished, the control surfaces are finished, now we do the structural skeleton, the shaping. No one else can do this but us. All the equipment we will put into it is made by others. They must be local and national. Combat aircraft means domestic and national. Everything from A to Z, including the engine, will be local and national when the time comes. For this reason, we include Turkish companies in the project as much as possible and give contracts. We say, 'Let anyone who can do it come'."

Temel Kotil pointed out that the MMU consists of 20 thousand parts and stated that a ready-made engine will be used at the beginning, and then the engine to be developed by TRMotor will be integrated into the aircraft.
