There is so much active military operation and high risk situation that engines of existing MBTs can not cool at all.
We do not yet have an armored amphibious unit in the command of the naval forces. These tanks belong to the inventory of the Land Forces Command and i guess these are assigning from the near units determined by the 4th Army and 1st Army. But some changes can be expected in the future as replacement and command planning of armored units, within the capacity to be formed with 2 LHD (Anadolu-), 4 new generation heavy LST (Bayraktar class) and other fast landing ships.
So there is no need to attach great importance to current M-48s that we see in exercises. Even now, Leo2s could be main landing tank of these ships if needed. Surely, the structure of the Amphibious Brigade and this issue probably will be another popular defense forum discusson after TCG Anadolu will start active duty.
