Look at this beaut. Savarona, under navy command since 2019, she was renovated beginning from last year and made its first sea trials this week. Per navy, she will be used for training first and then as a museum ship under its own power, visiting various ports around the country. Looks like she will no longer be used as part of the presidential protocol.

And a video. TCG Istanbul saluting the Savarona s such a proud scene for me. And second Hisar Class P1221 Koçhisar is being fitted out at the background. Can't see P1220, we haven't seen much of her since her main gun was fitted back in april. Behind Koçhisar, another Istif class is in construction in the drydock.

Last tidbit, visible on one of its life rings, Savarona now have the hull number A-576 in the navy service, after A-574 TCG Durmuş and A-575 TCG Ekmekçi support ships.
