Sources from the Ministry of National Defense responded to claims made by a Greek newspaper regarding the “S-400s being kept under U.S. control at Incirlik in exchange for re-inclusion in the F-35 program.” The ministry sources stated:

“Regarding this matter, it is important not to give credence to news aimed at shaping perceptions by third countries and to approach it with caution. Currently, there is no change in the positions of either country regarding the S-400 and F-35.

We have always stated that it is not right for allies to impose restrictions or sanctions on each other, as it goes against the spirit of alliance. Our expectation is that our allies will make decisions in line with the spirit of the alliance and the common security perspective, and lift all restrictions, whether overt or covert.”

US State Department: “The conditions for supplying F-35s to Turkey are widely known and our policy has not changed. Turkey’s continued interoperability with NATO remains a critical US priority.”

It is so sad to see our defense minister lying blatantly.
Maybe we're actually following the US's receipt and get rid of the S400. But this cannot be fed to the public as it is and they resorted to telling "Americans saw KAAN's progress and decided to sell us F35". As childish as this sounds, AKP supporters would easily buy it.

Otherwise, why would they send a formal request to buy F35 if they knew the US would reject it? Things don't add up.

Did we send a formal request ? I dont think so. There is talks about it but sending a formal request to buy f 35 without lifting the santions doesnt seem smart to me.

Because US politician would never lie.
It has nothing to do with the US politicians there is a law in effect regarding the F-35s. It is passed by the Congress there is no one in the US including the president that can deliver F-35s to us. Only the Congress can repeal the law.

Thats not the point. Congress and Senate are ruled by Republicans (D. Trump). Y. Guller must found out, that Congress is willing to send the F-35 to us.

Until we see a serious move, it is pure speculation. And I really doubt Congress will be friendly to us. Especially while Israel is openly hostile to us.

What are you crying about? What's the point of an F-35 that requires satellite-based US launch codes or allows remote access from the USA? Either the planes don't take off at all or the weapons systems are deactivated in the event of an escalation in an extreme situation, e.g. against Israel or Greece.

ALIS (Automatic Logistics Information System) and its successor ODIN (Operation Data Integrated Network) & Co.
These systems run exclusively on US military servers on the F-35, no country has access to them and without this access the F-35 is useless as a system. Not to mention that you can't even switch off Link 16 & Co for national missions.

This thing is a Trojan horse - get over it.
For this reason, the Israelis have also heavily modified their F-35s, while the USA probably has no access to them at all.

The only thing that makes me angry is the argumentation of the USA to block the F-35 for security reasons because of the S-400.
In India, the US doesn't seem to mind, yet another reason to completely avoid US weapons systems after the F-16 Block 70 Deal.

Too much pussy whining. Stop crying over spilt milk. Our politicians were too dumb to bide their time and blew it. Move on EF and let's see if KAAN is going to fly

Those launch codes are the ones you put on your F16s everyday, LINK 16 codes you don't even know what are you talking about.

You paranoid fellas saying the same stuff during 1980s as well "OH NO US IS GOING LOCK OUR F16's :(" we are just too arrogant to accept our islamist goverment fucked up and lots of Turkish companies lost money also, we have no air superiority over greece nor israel.

The koreans already debunked your so called "satellite codes" claims.
