Fucking idiots
I don't have any real insight into the F-16/F-35 debate. Would it not, however, have been better to buy some Eurofighters to ensure access to something with higher performance than F-16 until KAAN arrived?

We all knew we would self sabotage by dragging the process for years and end up with nothing as usual, instead of just buying the things we urgently need

In both cases, we are the reason that those deals being not finished, we are dragging the bargaining with very hard requirements in terms of logistics, spare parts production etc.

For example, we want Meteors with EFs but we also require them to let us integrate our domestic munitions.

In case of f16, as far as i know, we want to modernize all of our f16s ourselves which brings problem with certain blocks that we have no software access or license to source code.

We already have bought the right to upgrade our own f16 not all but the majority of them only the newer ones are not available

Always prepare yourself for the worst, usually they find a way to make it worse than you can imagine but it helps ease the pain.
Bro this is all part of the strategy. Confusing all sides is the key.. Trust the process bro. How could you not know that we are playing 7D chess smh

Thank you. I think that is the best strategy for a country where "Allies" actually embargoed when needed. My guess Turkey has backup plan and those plan turned out better then expected, hence ...

Logged in to say that I’ve aged 10 years reading news about our fighter jet purchases during the last year.

According to Pentagon sources speaking to Athens, the F-35 program has been confirmed for Turkey.

Greek press | Kathimerini:

According to informed sources, the Pentagon is now firmly convinced that Turkey's return to the F-35 program will not disrupt the balance in the Aegean.

In other words, what is being implied to Athens is the reality that all kinds of developments could occur in the near future.

The Pentagon has also shelved Israel's hopes for American weapons not to be sold to Turkey, including F-35s.

Diplomatically, Athens will have to wage a long struggle in the coming months to explain that Greece is the only ally that will effectively serve US interests.

Of course not! Greece is helpless inferior against Türkiye. A few F-35 will not change any fact. No matter who has the planes.

If there is a kill-switch why are they concerned?
I wish they had kill-switch, they can't use kill-switch as they want. Instead, they have more powerful forces.
1. Software update
2. Engine maintenance (not done outside the USA)
3. Spare parts
