Mr Ömer Yıldız from Tusaş: "We can communicate continuously with the link systems on our planes. When we launch our target aircraft over ANKA, the target aircraft can transmit data to the ground at ANKA. This is how we can transmit images from the cameras on our target aircraft to the ground. Our target aircraft, which can currently reach 0.9 mach speeds, is planning to reach 1.1 to 1.4 mach speeds. We can also transfer images from ANKA to the infantry on the ground. Our development work on ŞİMŞEK continues. In this direction, we are working with different engine options and swarm four drone flights."
It would be a great capability gain for ANKA to be able to fly with 4 ŞİMŞEK at weapon stations. The lifting capacity of the aircraft is suitable for this. However, the wingspan of the ŞİMŞEK may create a problem. For this purpose, the distance between the ANKA's pylons can be increased, or some modifications can be made directly on the ŞİMŞEK and the design can be changed as a folding wing. The folding wing of ŞİMŞEK will increase its cost, but it will provide significant convenience, especially in UAV operations, and may also facilitate its logistics.

Exactly, most of the social media representative of the akp. Half true, half false news, to manipulate people and turn them into votes.

But it is a fact that they have heard from the AKP and the defense industry, so they have a grain of truth.
Oğuzhan Uygun is not a profile like some anonymous accounts (Turkish fact for example) who write stupid things based on their own imagination. Since he does not have enough technical knowledge about the defense industry, his statements can sometimes be unnecessarily exaggerated, but his sources are defense industry sites and defense forums that we already use. In fact, he is not an analyst who basically writes opinion assessments; he has taken on the role of compiling and transmitting news. (Hermes, for example, is seen by many as an AKP supporter, but what he does is translate from foreign media.)

The profile that gets it right is the Boogeyman(karabasan). Happily, he also writes in the forum. He has very clear style and avoids manipulative statements and cites references for everything he says. Twitter is not an academic environment, of course, but very few people are as sensitive as Karabasan about citing sources.

I have been following Oğuzhan Uygun for a few years. His profile was mostly about factory and facility investments in the industrial field in the country, but recently he seems to have developed a special interest in the defense industry. While there is an extraordinary momentum in the defense industry, people on twitter with this profile cannot exclude themselves from this. The followers of such accounts may be overwhelmingly pro-AKP, but I think this is a matter for another sociological evaluation.

Kamikaze variant of Şimsek will be delivered in 2023

In my opinion, the Şimşek target drone is not suitable as a kamikaze drone in its current form.

In this state, it can be detected remotely in aesa radars and thermal sensors.

Yes, it is a very practical and logical way to turn this vehicle into a kamikaze drone for rapid development. Maybe this tool can be used for system development in a short time, but in the future, a new aircraft should be developed with a low-visibility fuselage and an infrared signature suppressing nozzle.

For example, it could be a vehicle such as the form of the Som missile.

The main purpose of target drone derived kamikaze systems will be to seen as a different object on the enemy radars with sensors payloads on it and to attract their attention. As enemy radars engage with swarm drones, their position will be known and they will become clear targets. Of course, variants will also be developed for kamikaze concept where invisibility is at forefront.

For me , detected remotely in aesa radars and thermal sensors a very good features they imitate radar signature of the other air assets. Probably We dont want to use them as a precision strike element only but also using up air defence element of enemy their second role. They are very cheap ,easy to produce compare to air defence elements . When we send it to a target , our enemy had to stop them with using air defence elements ( they are very expensive and limited number for many country) . If they dont, Şimşeks still make very good damage. After using them with a saturation attack, u can esaily destroy ur target. For example sending 8 şimşek which imitated som radar signature and 2 som-j to an enemy asset which protected by airdefence system at the same time make a huge difference. Probably first they try to destroy most detected/important /critical item acc to radar signature. They are our chess pawns.

I don't know Oguzhanuygun, kimlikçi and also tyrannusuorus, I have never had any interaction. But they blocked me. I don't know what the reason is.

With a cruising speed of Mach 0.7-1.1 and the ability to maneuver, the 4 ŞİMŞEK can mimic the formation flight of fighter jets in almost every mission type. It can imitate flight profiles, not just reflecting fake radar signatures. The launch of this mock F-16 wing from the ANKA UAV will give the air force an extraordinary tactical advantage.

I don't know anyone who hasn't been on tyrannusuorus' ignored list, including me. lol.

Let me make one thing clear, I don't like partisan people (at both ends). I just shared my impression about this person.

If they're seriously planning to do the testing exclusively on AKINCI, I'll be lost for words. 100 GBs of data can't be transmitted from AKINCI. They need a proper aircraft with the engineers inside, tweaking and testing it in real time.
Maybe they found a way. Maybe they modified an Akıncı and put a 5G base station on it to transmit data at a rate of 10 gbps to control station.
You can transmit 100GB data in under 40 minutes with a 4.5G 375 mbps connection, at 1 gbps it takes under 15 minutes.
You can transmit 100GB data in under 2 minutes with a 5G 10gbps connection.

Regardless of this, we should get a test plane.

In this state, the Şimşek kamikaze is used as a long-range decoy target in areas with enemy air defense networks.

Where there is no enemy air defense network, Şimşek drone is used as a kamikaze drone.

Nope. As I have said previously, they referred to the aircraft as fictional and that it "could be on the drawing board". There were no signs of any jet powered UAV on the production or assembly facilities. I didn't come across a dedicated hangar either. But I do sometimes wonder what this place is for... Could be dedicated to helicopters (that general area is where heli flight testing takes place). Or it genuinely could be a brand new production plant for something quite different.

That building seems to have a large hangar door though.

Greek newspaper Kathimerini:
"The government has started to deploy Israeli-made anti-drone systems on the islands in secrecy against TB-2 or ANKA-S UCAVs."

According to the newspaper, the purpose of placing defense systems is to 'jamming' the UAVs flying in the region's skies.

This system is for smaller UAVs. It won't work on TB2 or Anka and it is doubtful it will ever work against our small UAVs that have anti-jam antennas and Kerkes GPS independent cruise system. Anyway, we will probably deploy the TRNAV system in case something goes wrong.

Never interrupt your enemy while they are committing a mistake.

TISU 7+ ton weight... If 7+ tons is the empty weight of this aircraft, then a truly bomber drone will be revealed in roll-out. If not, TISU will be a drone similar or a little larger than Neuron in size.

Israeli "drone dome"

Benefits

  • Delivers an off-the-shelf system
  • Enables soft and hard-kill
  • Detects targets as small as 0.002 m2, at a distance of 3.5 km
  • Minimizes collateral damage
  • Operates in all weather conditions
  • Offers modular configuration, tailored to customer's requirements
  • Open architecture enables integration with any sensor, any shooter

Is not designed to be used against a drone like Anka-s or even TB2. Nothing but a common waste of money by the Greek defense

It is perfect opportunity to test our sytem at peace time. Thanks to them.
