We compare GA-ASI with Baykar and discuss which of them will put the product it is developing into service earlier or be a pioneer in a spesific field.
GA-ASI is the world's largest manufacturer of armed drones and military autonomous aerial vehicles. It is the company that industrialized the sector from an academic field of study and experimental project models, and is even the industrial creator. It has almost all of the most distinguished engineers in this field worldwide. Behind it is one of the biggest tech/energy-based companies in the world like GA. It is one of the most privileged companies of the Ministry of Defense, which allocates the largest funds for technological research in the world. They have a company structure that is academically intertwined with the US-based world's leading universities and institutes in this field. Their biggest buyer is the country that spends the most money on armaments in the world and they naturally have the political support of the world superpower in terms of foreign export opportunities.
Baykar, which flew its first tactical drone in 2009 with a team of about 20 people, started to compete with GA-ASI within 14 years with its product range, export capacity and company policies aiming for many firsts in the sector within 15 years.
