If there were no other solution they would simply start from scratch and do the right things to get to a product unlike what Aselsan did. They could perhaps even move faster than Aselsan. You don't need all that much optics expertise, it is simply a telescope after all, even ameteurs make telescopes.

Electro-optic systems are much more than telescopes. They are far from Baykar's area of expertise. Thanks to all the money they made, in the future they may be able to expand into that but it would be a huge investment. In the past it would be completely impossible for Baykar to do this due to lack of funds.

Isn't it already obvious because they can source good quality products from other companies, why bother making them yourself. If they couldn't source them they would develop them in-house.

Our drones can rain fire from relative safety with these missiles in a lot of situations except for the worst case ones, for which we just happened to be developing Anka-3.

I expected Cakir to be little bit bigger but I guess because of the booster it had on the ship-born version.
