Institutes working on satellites and camera technologies with a resolution below "1m" may also be target of some intelligence agencies. If I remember correctly, Israel has a special privileged provision in US law and according to this provision, a satellite with a camera below 1m is prevented from being sold to Israel's "enemies", something like Israeli CATSAA on US laws. Israeli members who have information about this subject may enlighten us as well. Even if it is allowed to be sold, there are special restrictions. Let alone allowing 1m resolution satellites, Today's Turkiye is developing and exporting sat cameras under 0.5m. This area is also very critical and important enough to require special security.
At the time, there were serious problems between the French Thales Group, Israel and Türkiye over the 0.50 m resolution Göktürk 1 satellite.

To say that our smaller companies in the MIC are not watched by some outside intelligence services is silly. Mert Bayraktar was murdered in his apartment in 2012

"Israel has repeatedly opposed the launch of the Göktürk satellites, fearing that Israel's high-resolution images could fall into the wrong hands.

The then Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan rejected Israel's objections, stating that Turkey is a sovereign state and that Israeli attempts against Turkey's decisions to design, develop, produce and launch such high-resolution intelligence satellites would not be tolerated."

Let's see what Israel will think when Göktürk 3 arrives.

If its fully controlled by the TSK then yes . But doing such thing will make TSK and MIT hostile to Israel .

I'd start worrying about my life and safety if I was working in the orbital launch program, and maybe tf35000; other than that, not much of a threat to Israel.

Its about exporting advanced technology to Israel enemies not the silly ( turkey vs israel ) debate . I mean look at Jordan and Eygpt and how shit their military equipment due to ( Qualitative Military Edge ) policy .

Thats why I don’t see any future of exporting critical weaponry like GaN radars , electronic warfare , air defense , high res Satellite , ballistic air defense , command & control equipment … etc due to a possible US economy sanctions on Turkey .

I was just thinking if Mossad were target anyone it would be the Turkish scientists developing the fighter jet engines or engines in general. Those people would need protection more then anyone else in the industry. Those people are bringing critical technologies to the nation.

We don’t live in old Türkiye anymore. Thanks to Erdogan.

They won't do jack. If they would, it would go both ways and they know it.

The European states still dont have operate any MALE drones except the imported American-Israeli drones. EUROdrone program is to be ready by 2028-2029 while the akinci is already flying. Respect to both Baykar, and TUSAS👏👏
If they had developed it as a national project, not as a European Union project, they would not have had to import from America or Israel. It's sad for them...

The usage of drones was not that widespread either and did not have huge importance even if the Americans were utilizing them effectively in different countries such as Afghanistan, and Iraq. Then the TB2 came, and the rest is history! Now every desire to have drones in their arsenal.. The Europeans tend to have a lot of disagreements in their projects, and politics often delay their projects along the expensive cost. Spain actually got the green light a week ago with funding of 500 million to develop their own "anka" variant with a payload of 150 kg.

Oh, really? Turkiye's most important scientist professor Engin Arık and 5 Aselsan engineers were killed during the Akp era.
Hello everyone, My first message here, although I have followed this forum for years. I am an academician btw.
If you have an air disaster, in order to called this incident as a conspiracy or assassination, you should look at the conditions and make sure everything is to be done in accordance with aviation rules in the first place. Prof. Dr. Arık's death was so tragic and great loss for our country, but due to the bad financial situation and general ignorance or avoidance of rules of the company, Atlas Jet was going to have a disaster one way or another in those days. This particular day, aircraft had inoperative systems and aircraft was at such a low flight altitude that never should have been. I know someone will be angry at me but this disaster was not a conspiracy

Not really
During the Erdogan era, the assassination increased. However, that is to be expected since Erdogan used to provide unprecedented political support for such scientists to develop weaponry and embargoed high tech products that may be a detriment to Israel

The Mossad thought that Erdogan will be like the Egyptians during the Egypt-Israeli war in which they cancelled their own national jet after their own scientists were assassinated; however, contrary to their expectations, Erdogan didnt stop and instead prepared the necessary infrastructure, support, and protection to teach generations upon generations of scientists amd engineers

Btw, most of Rocketsan, Aselsan, Baykar, TAI, Havelsan etc are so young in age predominantly 25-35 years old

And that is why I like Baykar who set up Technofest! It is an event that promotes all of Baykar's ambition and shows how much the Turks are enthusiastic towards their defence industry

The guy began with a smart tactical drone, and now you can see how far they've come.

TAI creates fantastic drones and much more, obviously, and also gets its share of the cake.

Baykar gains more attention partly due to Selcuk's social media presence, similar to Elon Musk. Most of you probably can't name the CEOs of NASA or Boeing.

Just because they don't perform a striptease in front of a rocket doesn't mean they're worthless. The same applies to our other companies that aren't "Damat."

Probably... but we wouldn't have:

t3 foundation
CANSAĞLIĞI foundation
Less competition and innovation in the drone market
Fargani company
Teknofest which gives hope to millions of children and youth in a mostly toxic enviroment with it's competitions.

Also if SpaceX wouldn't exist NASA would still send rokets to space... whats your point?

Im happy with every company thats work for their country doensn't matter if its TAI, bayraktar or Otokar.

WE DON'T HAVE THE LUXURY TO CHOOSE BETWEEN COMPANYS!

Selcuk Bayraktar also tends to talk with young people and the youth a lot.

I get the appeal too hence whe he has so many fans.

You look at elon musk with his memes and the retarded shit he does. Young people like it because it appeals to them rather than a boring old man wearing a suit.

why ?? it is by definition first. Fully autonomous UCAV with formation flight autonomously
autonomous or remotely piloted? If autonomous, i.e. Kızılelma following Solotürk on its own via processing its position, speed and flight parameters and positioning as defined, then it is a breakthrough.
