Mini drone less than 1 kg including payload with target lock+homing capabilities would be good in that mothership, 1-3 km range or more if possible.

Targetting /upload data by mothership, ANKA or any other platform capable of having the sensors etc. :)

Today CAS planes doesn't have to enter in range of MANPADS in order to destroy MBTs, IFVs and artillery.
Why do you think CAS drones must have just Gatlinggun which could hit in 2-3km?

What about jet powered fast CAS drones with long range ATGMs? Could Bayraktar TB-2 or ANKA scramble rapidly attack and run away? Patrolling for long hours over the front line, TB2s are more vulnerable against Short range Air defense as enemy could send mobile SAMs.

You can not always dominate airspace for your slow drones so you would also need tactical rapid strike drones.

Keywords: jet powered drone with ATGMs.

Moreover, SUNGUR loaded , jet powered CAS drones -which are maneuverable and fast -could rapidly hunt other tactical drones.

BTW we have already got jet powered UAV!!!

Just need to add take off and landing capabilities .SUPER ŞİMŞEK XL could carry several UMTAS.

At 1:00 "Mühimmat konfigürasyonları"

at 1:25 " İn long term Süper Şimşek will carry out 11 different missions"

Even you could put synthetic aperture radar on it thus Unexpectedly and Rapidly Süper Şimşek takes images of enemy's land.

Question: Should multimission fighters have Synthetic aperture radar for air-to-surface missions?
I think they should be. Because old passive radars cannot detect static targets.
Yes they have IIR cameras.Thermal imaging can be deceiving on Earth, especially during the summer months. In winter, snow and rain interfere with thermal imaging.

Now you will say "There are AESA radars, they can see everything." So next question ❓ How will the AESA radar, which only looks straight ahead from the nose, scan the surface ? How could it map moving or stationary targets?

"The AN/APG-83 features all-weather, high-resolution synthetic aperture radar mapping to present the pilot with a large surface image for more precise target identification and strike capabilities compared to legacy systems. "

Gripen's rotating AESA radar was designed for this purpose. Turning it to the left and right, the RADAR creates a map of landscape . By turning its radar, it can lock missile on stationary tanks or buildings.

❗So KAAN, Hürjet , Kızılelma and other UAVs -which have MURAD AESA radars - should have different shaped - moving MURAD AEAS for air to ground missions.⚠️

What a pity we don't have aviation engineeers or veteran fighter pilots here. We should ask everything to @Anmdt:p

I would agree with KAAN A2A fighters. But what about UAVs for ground attack?

So your ground attack UAVs should always fly above straight the dangerous landscape of battle?
What about side mapping and side attack capabilities of UAV?

Or we should put 3x AESA plates which more expensive than the UAV?

Is there a lesson for Turkish aviation?

Modular manned jet fighter could be transformed into uncrewed jet fighter !!!

PD170 engine works still flawless...
You need at least 40.000 feet at all times with full load.

33.000 feet empty isn't enough in mountaneous Kandil area even against PKK MANPADs,
neither is the speed against turbojet missiles of Iran
and neither is the self protection capability and situational awareness against radars of updated Russian SHORADS as we have seen in Ukraine.
TB2-3 can't handle new capabilities of PKK, so how are they going to justify their cost, especially against Greek F-35s and Patriots?

Ukraine has billions of dollars aid but they didn't ask to buy single TB2 from Baykar, since they don't last even 1 day now.

They didn't ask for a single Reaper either... Which gets shot down by people in sandals quite often these days. These kind of drones simply became more vulnurable.

40k feet is not MALE but HALE, ther is no single manpad that can hit a target at that altitude. It have to fly straight to the target what is not possible. We will not use our drone against F35 and Patriots :D

The difference is American Reapers are getting shot down while trying to get a closer look and by underestimating Houthis. Our Anka, TB-2-3 series can't reach 40.000 loaded let alone Reaper's 50.000 feet even when they know for sure it is not safe to fly at 20-30K in mountanious areas.

Akıncı flying at 45K or safer yet F-16s should take over until Kizilelma relieves them from Kandil surveilance duty.

Reapers are not getting shot down with manpads, It is either Iranian long range SAMs or old yemeni 2K12M KUB. Unless Some country decides to give PKK S300 or Pantsir/2K12M equivalent system there is nothing to worry about. And If Some country does that, Then We would have to test akbaba on combat. Tuaf wouldnt allow PKK to establish serious SAM bubble. Manpads are impossible to locate since they are man portable unlike other systems we are talking. Any SAM system that needs vehicle, They will be located quickly. You cant hide them for long.

Iranians say they received the same 358 missile which Hezbollah and the Houthis operate and with which they managed to shot down multiple mq-9s at this point
