Yesterday we lost an Akinci in Iraq, maybe we should have some self defence system or, we should use smaller, cheaper UAVs for targetting/recce and use Akinci as stand off missile truck.
Sure but it's not like we need to throw $20 Million + to the dumpster, when the same work can be done with cheaper UAVs.The point or one point of UAVs is that they are expendable.

Current state of range can be misleading as the radar is also developed domestically and its parameters are not probably finalized and can be modified with the limiting factor being the power supply.
