TB3 with 1200kg take off weight can either take off on its own power or a low profile electric car can push it to take off speed in ludicrous drive mode. In any case it shouldn't be a problem for it to take off from TCG Anadolu.

What is a “ludicrous drive mode” ?
Once the electric car reaches the necessary take off speed, how does it stop? Or does it go over board?
With 1200kg overall weight and PD180 power behind it, deck mounted hold/release mechanism holding the plane from creeping forward until at full Rev, and the ski lift; It shouldn’t be too difficult for it to take off. I am sure the wing-area of the TB3 will be big enough to give it enough lift. Selcuk Bayraktar is clever enough to design this. And he would not have tackled it if he didn’t believe it would work.
They are talking about having L-Umtas missiles from TB3. So quite a lot more usable weight will be available.

Probably a cable attached to the bow going over the ski-jump can be neater hiding the machinery somewhere at the fore marine deck. It can even be an endless cable running continuously rather than back and forth. This will use the front of the runway emptying the back end for landing.

This plane is going to be much larger than TB2.
TB2 has 650kg max Take off weight with 150kg usable load.
Anka has 1600 kg maximum take off weight with 250kg usable weight.
So with a weight of (we don’t know if it is max takeoff weight) 1200kg, it is going to be a sizeable bird.
In spite of that, with the system I described above (#1488) it should be able to take off under it’s own power from TCG Anadolu.

Selçuk Bayraktar:

How do we know this is not an April 1st joke?

Not that it’s not possible and real but there are news stories now based on this text and they don’t mention when and how the statement was made. I could not find any official statement from Selçuk Bayraktar.

You don't do that, on aircraft. Weight issues.

They have already started satcom addition on TB2’s. So it is only natural to expect they do it on TB3 as well. It would be in addition to LOS control.
You can see the bulbous tops of new satcom TB2’s in below picture On the left.

He makes a valid point on weight concerns, how far afield do we need such an UCAV to fly out from LHD? Wouldn't a 200-250km LOS communication be enough ? Difficult to know how capable TB3 will be - the VTOL pods Aselsan are developing are capable of keeping 800kg aerial vehicle aloft.

You are correct in thinking about the weight addition for the satcom. But we must not forget the durability of satcom to EW interference and since we would not want the TCG Anadolu too close to enemy, it would be prudent to have satcom control especially in the event that the enemy possess 200-300km or more range anti ship missiles , like scalp/storm shadow..

spotbeams could tell better about the coverage, however i doubt turksat would provide full coverage map of the spot beams.

I thought this UAV was going to be 1200kg in weight. Although we do not know whether that includes usable weight and fuel, even of it does it will be nearly twice the weight of TB2. Where did you get the 800kg weight?
