Rumours I have heard are that Russia is planning an operation around north of crimea and also around mariupol area to connect the luhansk/donetsk to crimea.....or at very least to gain control of water pipe to crimea (that ukraine closed off).

The temporary water provision situation (via kerch strait) in Crimea has apparently been getting worse last cpl years or so.
Earlier reports came that Ukraine cut off the water supply to Crimea and according to that source 80% of the water supply is coming from Ukraine so that is logical.
If Ukraine doesn't fight she will come under a long term incremental occupation by Russia. Its best she fights. This all explains why the Russians were escalating trouble in Syria. I really hope Turkey backs Ukraine the same way she backed Azerbaijan, its the only chance of victory Ukraine has against Russian backed terrorists.

Russia is primarily responsible for Turkey having to home and feed 10 million arab/kurdish refugees from Syria. Turkey must not miss this opportunity.
For Ukraine to e successful in this fight I fear that only Turkish support will not be enough for that. The EU and NATO should take responsibility for their promises because in the end of the day partner countries suffer because of insufficient support. The best measure is the preventive measure and unfortunately we are always late. We should look at partner countries as internal fronts rather than external and then the situation will be different. Together with the escalation of the crisis NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force is also training in Turkey phases of urgent embarkation trough sea and airways before the Turkish representatives are sent to Romania. Just to remind that this force is formed to play a critical role in such crisis times against Russian aggression and Turkey is taking command of its land force in 2021.

Any news on our crimean tatar brothers most likely they will fight.

Im really wondering if any Turks from Turkey went as volunteers to help them.

A lot of Turks are descended from Crimean Turks/Tatars.

The real question for me is what Turkey is planning to do, they cannot allow Ukraine to be alone against Russia.
Should sieze opportunity and esacalate things in Syria if Ukraina decides to go in war for so called donbas, that is best support you can provide.

Loto of them already in ukrainian army as well as disident chechens. The population that is under occupation in Crimea, it is to much to expect to participate in fight.

In case of war, some NATO countries will actively support Ukraine - Turkey should as you say take the opportunity to punish Assad. TSK should take Aleppo, Hama, Homs and Al-Raqqa.

As others pointed out many Tatars are serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces including volunteer forces like "Azov".

Any Tartarian who lives in the Crimea won't fight against russia. The Tartarians are different as we imagine.

I saw a lot of Tartarians from Ural and Tataristan fight for Russian federation against Ukraine in Donbass.
By the way there were some Azerbaidjanis.

A big war is awaiting in Donbass again
Ukrainian intelligence officers do not exclude attempts to move Russian troops deep into the territory of Ukraine.
It's hot again in Donbass. All because of the exercises that Russia is conducting near the borders of Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak said that under the guise of preparation for the upcoming military exercises West 2021, Russia is pulling troops to the border with Ukraine - to the Bryansk and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation and to the occupied Crimea.

The Kremlin replied that they can move their units within the country as they want. But they are worried about the situation even in the United States. All this is taking place against the backdrop of a complete stupor in the peace negotiations.

Korrespondent.net has collected information about the situation around Donbass.

Seems so obvious now you mentioned it, that the best way to help Ukraine would to expand operations into northern Syria.

Turkey should send as much military help to Ukraine as possible and lobby as hard as it can to get Britain, Canada and the US more involved in helping Ukraine too.

No, you already did your part with defence industry cooperation pact, let that much reacher countries to provide material support, you have biigger challenges and eventual oportunities at your door step to deal with.
Sure that statements on daily base that you suppprt teritorial integrity of Ukraine are always welcome.

nato/west did nothing against Russia in Syria, Libya or Azerbaijan, they wont do anything in Ukraine. They speak a good game though. Only Turkey did something against Russia in all 3 theatres.
