The head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin promised support for Ukraine from the United States in the event of an aggravation of the situation in Donbass. He stated this in a conversation with the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran, the press service of the department reported on Thursday, April 1.

With what exactly?
Not that there ever will be a confrontation.
Antiquties... at least Sweden is better geared than Denmark.

Problem is the decision making process is too long compared to everything that moves to the will of dictator like governance form.

Just few people
They are scattered in different units and groups. Not long ago it was purposed a battalion sized force to be compiled solely by Crimean Tatars.
Turkey should send as much military help to Ukraine as possible and lobby as hard as it can to get Britain, Canada and the US more involved in helping Ukraine too.
We gave them political support, supplied them armed drones and gave training courses to their forces. The only thing we can do now is enter more seriously with training programs within the scope of NATO's training missions and send advisors to Ukraine to supervise their drone operations.

The US, Canada and the UK also gave the same support but on a more serious level and if confrontation happens I hope NATO get its shit together and send in commanding staff there so it can assist the Ukrainian officer staff. Recently new doctrine for the Ukrainian Armed Forces started to emerge with the help of the US and Canada but still not finished and units are not trained according to it. The units look different to 2014 in terms of tactics and gained experience especially the SOF but regulars are still way off from what it should be. Russia is still very powerful in the region but who knows... I am open for surprises.

The French Foreign Ministry does not believe that there will be an escalation in the Donbass

Paris expects to resume discussions within the Normandy format in the coming weeks.
There will be no worsening of the situation in Donbass, says Clement Bon, Secretary of State at the French Foreign Ministry. He stated this on the air of the BFM TV channel on Friday, April 2.

"I do not believe there will be an escalation of the situation, but we remain vigilant," he said.

"We hope that discussions within the Normandy format can resume in the coming weeks," Bon added.

Would it make sense to use militias for more direct confrontations, e.g. Loitering ammo strikes and such, sabotage operations etc.

If the russian backed side starts ysing loitering ammo things could escalate or get ugly.
