That will benefit Putin greatly if it happens. Ukrainians will lose out since the momentum is with them to take back all their occupied land. If a frozen conflict is established in Ukraine with erdogans activism, you will see Russia redirect her efforts against Turkey in syria, liby and other places.

Russia can produce food, energy and has nuclear weapons, so in reality no one can destroy Russia. Only possibility is that it comes from within. Also , the longer this lasts , there is distinct possibility that friendly governments towards Russia to appear. Basically, they want that the politics of 19th century to return. What other side wants , well Pelosi visit in to Erevan tells you that. These are basically disgusting devils , both want in their own way to play the second half of the game in which the first half ended 1923. Basically all it can be done is to buy the time and do something with it. I think , that's exactly what's happening now.

If they care about cease fire they would have done that long ago but now since Russia is losing momentum, they are begging for a ceasefire to maintain the current status

This may also be related to the destruction of the railway line of Crimean bridge! It will take a while to fix and this will put the whole Russian's Southern frontline into absolute danger

I wonder if back then if people were trying to fool Ataturk into forming some kind of ceasefire once the momentum shifted into Turkish hands. Even in the recent Azerbaijan conflict the USA/Russia and France were trying to force a ceasefire since it would have stopped Armenia from losing further.

The Russians attempted the entire occupation and invasion of Ukraine, they didn't care about Ukraine whatsoever, now they are getting crushed on the battlefield and making one "goodwill gesture retreat" after another, people are talking about ceasefires.

Only way Ukraine loses this war now is via dirty politics.
