Considering all our major NATO allies were on dictator Haftar(UEA+Russia) side we did not have other choise.You are forgetting prior to Ukranian invasion Turkey fought againts Russian proxy forces in three different countries and every single time our NATO partners either stayed neutral or outright supported Russia.In fact main reason they gone as far as to create NATO naval blockade (Operation IRINI) was to create breathing room for retreating Haftar forces(which Russian Wagners forces embedded) and stopping Turkish Navy from sending support eqiupment goverment as side bonus.

The Russians had every advantage in that situation meanwhile they all literally run away leaving themselves open to be taken out.

Really shows the difference in mindset. The Ukrainians charge face first into danger with no concern for death, meanwhile the Russians at the first moment of a challenge are looking to run away.
