Honestly, the current condition is very bad for Ukraine

As much as I hate to admit it, the Russian orcs are beginning to learn from their mistakes

Kherson defences are tight and soon the railway between kherson, Mariupol, Crimea, and Donetsk will become operational meaning that Russia will soon control everything in the south and East will soon belong to Russia

Many need to understand that Putin said to his ppl that he will control Ukraine before he started the war; thus, if he cant get anything less than Ukraine! Putin is ready to even burn his dead soldiers just to state that the official deaths are low and close to none and how amazing the Russian army is.

If everything remains the same, then I expect Ukraine to lose this war by the end of the year or early next year at max; ofcourse Putin will lose a lot of soldiers in between but Putin already knows how to hide that under the rug

Putin can't afford, nor Russian. They already burned so much money and their reserve currency is less than half full already

Now Russian lost more than 20 percentage of their BTG formation, material and equipment bar the navy and air assets. The Soviet even must bit the dust after such losses, let alone Russian with less economies and population

And? Did that make any difference? You fail to understand Russian economy and ppl my friend. Most of the Russian ppl are mentally depraved. Rn, over 70% believe that the war is justified and that some sacrifices must be made by the ppl economically to win. Moreover, poverty isnt new to the Russians. Russians were ALWAYS Living in poverty so it isnt something new to them. For your info, 74% of Russian wealth is controlled by only 1% of the population and 1 out of every 4 Russians dont even have a bathroom in his own home. This is just how bad shit is

>Putin is amassing new forces within the East with reports in twitter saying close to 60k soldiers; couple that with imrpoved logistics and this will make the war even more difficult for Ukraine

>Mariupol is a lost cause by now; sooner or later it will be conquered and a direct route from Crimea-Kherson-Mariupol-Donetsk which will create an even stronger russian defensive line in the South. After that, Putin can take his time chewing on the North

> As for economic sanctions, they are useless, as Russia still gains more than 1 billion euros everyday just from gas exports. If the EU truly wanna sanction gas revenues, then an embargo on all gas imports and on any non-EU nation that buys discounted Russian gas. Have such a thing been done? No! Then Putin still has funds to continue this war

> Iran and China are also providing equipment for the Russian war through Iraq and the shared Russian-Chinese border respectively.

>Putin will continue this war until he conquers Kyiv regardless of the costs. Hell, even if he lost 80% of his forces, he will still continue the war until he controls Kyiv so that he can continue to brainwash majority of the mentally-depraved idiotic Russian populace

>A war of attrition will never be in Ukraine's favour since Ukraine lacks AD systems, fighter jets, and long range missiles

Ukraine got precious advantage, they got tremendous support from the rest of the world. This resulted in activation of lend lease program from the US and other countries especially anglo sphere countries. Anything they asked they would got them as we are speaking today after a month of war they keep getting from modern ATGM, Manpads, APC's, MBT's, and even complex air defense system, radar and so on. They are cancelled recruitment of conscript but they keep the foreign volunteer program working and screening only for reputed veteran, either for combat units or training purpose. Such support the Russian doesn't have, even support from China is very limited in scope and practicality.

You are forgeting something, and the most important one. Hardship is not only Russian priviledge, the Ukraine had their fair share of hardship especially under Soviet rules. From Holodomor, Great patriotic war in which mostly happened in Ukraine territory and all the way to Afghanistan war when many young Ukrainian being left as cannon fodder there. They would fight for their hard to get Freedom, for their land, home and families to the ultimate sacrifice. I would not expect some Invader with banditry culture had the same kind of determination.

The first phase of the war the Ukraine side already prove to us, they have flexible minded military leadership, able to trade off some space for opportunity and creating chance for counter attack. They are able to utilized limited resource for the maximal gain. And now west of Dnipro river, is all firm under Ukraine control. People Support for total war is already reaching high five. Support for Russia from Russian speaking people in East Ukraine is already negligible given the gruesome conduct of Russian military during the conflict. Kharkiv, Chernihiv all is firm for Ukraine.

Nonetheless, we are already now who are military leader of the Russian army right now, his track record of his Syrian campaign in which not much stellar given the ample resource he had during the long campaign and lack of sophisticated enemies they are facing in Syria.

From my assessment
Expect Ukraine would do some massive attack against East Russian army front, the most likely routes is securing Izyum all the way to Kharkiv and goes east to Donbass and Luhanks area under Rebel occupation to cut, harassing the Russian primary east routes logistic supply. They would contain South army in Kherson salient, while do some harassment attack on multiple front. Mariupol would fall, but before that they already served the Ukraine armed Forces great service by containing the most experience units of Russian army and eliminate many of them during long battle. If East routes can be denied, Mariupol can be taken back again

What is bad when isis was at its last legs they still defeated a syrian-russian alliance in palmyra with a counter attack. Thr defeat was so bad that isis actually captured lots of defence equipment which even includes anti aircraft missiles left over by the russians and syrians. Russian even personally asked the americans to destroy the captured equipment so the american actually with the us air force bombed those anti aircraft missile launchers. So isis actually nearly came close to getting anti aircraft missiles. Russians have been really quiet about this debacle because they did not want to lose face.

Turkish armed forces lost some leopard tanks to isis in al bab. To not allow the risk of it getting used against the Turks the turkish airforce pinpointed it and destroyed the leopard 2 tanks. We all knew isis was going to use against us but also for propaganda material.

During the battle of al bab the russian air force bombed 3 of our soldiers. They say it was an accident but they did because we brought down their plane in late 2015 as the russians violated our airspace.

So many talks for years about how Russia was a paper tiger.

This debate raged on for decades. Now we see the reality.

Still Nato should not get so comfortable.

The Russians are still a threat. Have been for centuries.

Never appease them!

OMG. HOW can russia conquer Kiev now? Are you serious?
Putin is fighting for Donbas now and is HOPING that he conquer something more to end this was as soon as possible. Kiev is our of reach, Odessa is safe, he can try Kharkov but with minimal chances.
Russia has no ppl, no equipment of fighting value for new recruits. It is NOT WWII CCCP with milions young ppl that they can give pepesha and sent to fight.

ISIS had more tactical mind and knowing their glaring weaknesses. That's why they opt for light movement, prefer night as cover for their attacks, creating complete complex urban fortification and utilized all of the resources to repeatedly defeated more well equipped and numerous armies than their own. If not for the notorious small SOF Hunter from UK, Australia and Canadian SAS along with US Air Force precision strike, it would be difficult to catch ISIS logistic tail and hinder their movement. The Russian doesn't have such capability, and now people like WALI and other is fighting for Ukraine side and they are trained Ukraine SOF to do some "ISIS" style Raid on Russian logistic chain, by using light vehicles like buggy car, SUV or motorcycle. They are doing that with very flexible hierarki among the troops or in short working in Cell style. Even arranged some IED, do Loitering attacks by using cheap drones, fighting in urban enviroment by creating multiple nest and so on.

Since Russia was defeated in the north, how long before those Ukrainian forces used in the defence of Kiev are redirected towards the east?

Situation on the west of Ukraine is pretty safe right now. In Poland there are more refugees going BACK to Ukraine then running away. I know 3 women who decided to go back last week to their home near Ivano Frankowsk.

Russians prefer bringing a huge ass army thinking they can crush anybody with their tanks and soldiers.

Using numbers with brutal strength. Will only work in a total war scenario. But there is no total war scenario as times have changed.

You can do more damage with a minimal package size rather than than huge ass firepower.

Ukrainians with their light infantry tactics, ambushes and their movements have caught the Russians out so many times. Ukrainians were also willing to embrace more technology especially nato technology to fight the russians.

Russians still for decades have believes they were on par at least superior to Nato. Russians dont realise all their former territories have joined nato or are trying to join.

Lots of former warsaw pact countries have embraced nato reforms, modernisations even scrapping soviet style of warfare. Thats why over time you see them phasing out lots of warsaw pact equipment to nato standard.

Ukrainians despite their weaknesses were willing to intergrate into nato.

Russians dont realise the Ukrainians are fighting an unconventional war. Whats the point in fighting a conventional and copping heavy losses. Ukraine cant afford heavy losses especially in its own land.

I think for a decade after Crimea got taken over thr Ukrainians basically prepared themselves for a Russian attack. But the question was when will they attack. Ukraine was still in the process of reforming and modernising.

Russian tanks and trucks got stuck in a long mile convoy now imagine if A10s were there.

Just shows how stupid and suicidal the Russians are. They also wasted resources for nothing.
