What this proves how Ukraine has always been the Industrial Beating Heart of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union and not Russia itself.

Ukraine as an industrial powerhouse really started to take off under the Soviet leadership, in fact compared to most of 'Muscovy' empire iteration, the Soviet Union is the most compassionate to Ukraine, compared that to the Russian empire. Its less industry but more about buffer. Ownership of Ukraine and Belarus is the bare minimum for Moscow just to feel safe from any outward threat because there's really not much geographical defence for Moscow with European flat lands next to it. Armies attacking Russia traditionally march through those flat lands, hence its best for Moscow to make the front line as far away West as possible.

The Soviet Union reached the most success in this effort by stretching the front line at its furthest extent in the Cold war by puppetting Poland, East Germany and Czechoslovakia.

So invading Ukraine is a political necessity for Moscow regardless of who is in charge. Many people portray this as a Putin only problem, believe me if Navalny is the President of Russia he will annex Ukraine sooner or later.

Near the end of WW2 the Germans had an abundance of highly skilled generals at their disposals compared that to the allies, but due to the Nazi having 2 different armies (Heer and SS) the command structure is a complete mess. Modern Russia don't have their own 21st century equivalent of Model, Rommel, Manstein or Guderian and instead of two competing armies they're planning to have 3.

Calling the Soviet Union the most compassionate to Ukraine compared to the Russian Empire is factually incorrect. In fact it's absurd. By far the greatest murder of Ukrainians happened between 1932-1933, as the Soviet Union starved Ukrainians opposed to collectivization. Between 3-5 million Ukrainians died, mostly of hunger, while the Soviet Union continued exporting Ukrainian grain. If you'd like, I can explain the specific policies taken by the Soviet Union that resulted (and guaranteed) such colossal loss of life.

Warsaw Uprising the Soviets could have actually help and intervene the Polish people.

Guess what the Soviets actually watched while the Germans destroyed Warsaw piece by piece. Soviets benefitted from the Germans destroying Poland so it make it easier for them to take the whole country.

Now the Germans and the Russians are engaged in historical revisionism that the Concentration Camps were Polish not German.
