All that is required is the capacity to strike deep enough into Russia to hammer Russian artillery and missile sites that are sitting beyond the Russian border and lobbing shells, rockets and missiles into Ukraine.

Yes the logistical interdiction is already wargamed by NATO command delegated to ukraine theatre. These tiers will be applied now.

Russia is caught in a painful bind of its own doing and several of its bluffs have been called with little to no consequence....it has been normalised.

This is why the U.S. isn't particularly concerned with Russia's R-37 missile, despite its range. Russian RADAR aboard height fighter aircraft and extremely underwhelming. The Russians have always been excellent when it comes to missile / rocket propulsion, but they are second rate when it comes to things like RADAR and navigation systems.

Although the R-37 significantly outranges the the AIM-120D / ER, the Americans are incredibly confident that Russia's ability to detect F-35s and F-22s, especially in a neutral setting, is so low, that Russia's best Migs and SUs would be well inside the U.S. fighters' missile envelope before the Russians could track them, let alone achieve a radar lock on them. The radar cross sections of most Russian fighters are a juicy target for the Americans. The new American fighters, being massed produced as a significant challenge for the Russians.

The only fighter with radars powerful enough to detect the Erieye up to 200km is the MiG-31. But the Ericson radar could see twice that and the Saab 340 carrying it will likely fly inside Ukrainian air defense bubble, prolly inside the most protected one. Russia must utilize it's own A-50 AWACS to see the Saab 340 and utilize a planwhere the MiG-31 would dash as fast as possible before releasing their R-37M missiles. The Saab 340 is a slow plane, unable to outrun either the MiG or it's R-37M missile.

The most probable action is of course destroying it while parked.

My weekly reminder that while Ukraine is slowly getting what it needs to devastate Russia's armored corps, Ukraine must continue to get a steady flow of quality Western armor to keep their newly mobilized forces mechanized and their experienced brigades equipped. The armor and artillery can't come in small quantities either. The West still has plenty and the funding exists to produce more. Ukraine needs the following by early 2025 in my estimation, to create a further nightmare for the Russians.

Flying from Poland (Krakow or Lublin) the Saab 340 must fly a long way to action, considering the distance and the cruising speed of the Saab 340. Russian MiG-31 unit stationed in Belarus would have plenty of time to intercept and down those Saab en route to the frontline in Eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine could opt to spread thin its air defense trying to cover the flight path of the Erieye, but that would impose costs on the defense of Ukrainians cities and infrastructure in the East.

Oh yeah, the MiG-31 could actually fly above the maximum altitude of many Ukrainian Western-made AD missiles like the PAC-2

The MiG-31 max altitude is 123,000ft. While the PAC-2 has like 105,000ft. The MiG-31 speed could easily outrun incoming missiles that would've slowed down considerably trying to climb those altitude.

Ukraine doesn't have that many PAC-series batteries to spare other than for the defense of Kiev, if they opt for less, like the MIM-23, it's more or less useless

The footage was shortened and filmed from a drone and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. The video shows an attempt to land infantry with a Ukrainian M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicle. The landing failed, the Ukrainian M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle was attacked by soldiers of the 15th separate guards motorized rifle brigade of Russia. This is hilarious. If you think Russia is going to go to war against NATO because Ukraine houses a couple radar planes in Europe, you're out of your mind. Ukraine already freely fly their remaining Antonov fleet throughout Europe and North America, picking up supplies and getting maintenance in the West, without interference from the Russians.

In a conventional war, which it would be despite all of Russia's silly nuclear sabre rattling, NATO would absolutely trounce the Russians, who are using everything they've got just trying to inch forward in Ukraine. No chance do they want to give an excuse to Poland and The Baltic States and to join the war, let alone the rest of NATOs heavy hitters.

Ukraine has come to a loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund on a $15 Billion usd loan which will be given to Ukraine in tranches over a 4 year period. The first tranche was issued to Ukraine in the amount of $2.2 Billion usd.
