IMHO, polls trail the actual result by about two weeks. In an election as chaotic as this, I just can't bring myself to trust them.

Biden endorsed VP Harris. She'll bring the black / minority vote and reinvigorate Democrats in this race... But her VP selection is most important. She needs to choose somebody that is going keep all of the traditional Democratic voters on board and who will draw in moderates / independents. The pick is obvious to me.

Senator Mark Kelly (Arizona).

- Senator in an important swing state that the Democrats need. Voted to that seat over a Republicam for the first time since 1962.

- Retired Navy Captain (Colonel) and U.S. combat pilot with numerous combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Winner of 2x Distinguished Flying Crosses and numerous war medals.

- NASA astronaut and space shuttle commander who flew two missions to space and commanded one of them.

- White male, traditional Democrat. Extremely well spoken and respected. Calm, calculated and a great debater.

- Wife (also a Senator) survived a political assassination attempt in 2011, just like Trump, except she was critically wounded and made it.

A legitimate U.S. war hero and a powerful role model for young people in America, from all sides / walks of politics.

He'd be a fantastic selection and he's rumored to be interested!

I hope not. Kamala would be an absolutely horrible choice. But she is difficult for democrats to pass over due to her gender and skin color.

No, you will see that they have connections in federal institutions (FBI, CIA, army etc.). In the event of an uprising, some people will try to implement the order they have in mind by also getting power from the established order. However, where common values lose their meaning and people from opposing camps cease to want to live together, there can only be war. Once trust in the Federal State is damaged, you can no longer keep order alive with soldiers and police. The order is kept alive, especially by the continuation of the economic order. If this order collapses, this will have irreversible consequences.

A good 90% chunk of the rank and file (i.e colonel and below) are hardy social conservatives, recruited from deeply socially conservative areas. Can look at the data....its all there to find.

These are the bulk of folks that actually care about putting larger things (like family, community, country) ahead of their individual needs. Polar opposite in psyche to overfestered coastal elitists and deep blue serfs who only really know how to (in spoiled, hypocrite and deeply ingrateful ways) leech off folks that actually do family, community and country building/preserving.

So no, the republican voting base will never be going against the army, the army will join them push comes to shove (removing prima donnas in pentagon as required)....as the army comes from them in the end.

This is what keeps a large bulk of the atomized hyper-individualist typical western leftie-libs up at night constantly on this continent (I observe a number of them in real life and also their "thoughts" in whatsapp buddy groups etc)....and molded their politics to try overreach through the pentagon to try wag the dog by its tail by flag officer woke+DEI stuff in the first place (and very slow results to show for it as the rank and file simply do not bite as they are by and large cut from different cloth).

1. Its hard to win a 2nd term, the only reason Obama won is that the two previous republican candidates were warhawk retards even wanting to throw hands with Russia. Having 2 major wars in both Europe and the middle east in your term is not really encouraging in getting voters on your side especially with a VP candidate that was there.

3. Trump gets boost with infamous mugshot or trying to get thrown into jail by a political rival.
4. Embarrass yourself in front of Trump and everyone watching that debate.

6. You won 81,283,098 votes last election, Trump won 74,222,958 votes. Telling 14 million of your voters to now go fuck themselves will make those that usually vote democrat feel discouraged from even trying to vote even for someone like Kamala.
