The three Pohang-class corvettes donated to us by South Korea are currently being upgraded with subsonic VCM anti-ship missiles. We have successfully integrated the Raytheon AN/SPS-64(V)5B radar system with the subsonic VCM-T anti-ship missile variant, which has a range of 100 km, in order to optimize the weight and balance of the Pohang-class corvettes.

We have decided to build new small missile ships of the BPS-500 class (Project KBO-2000), a collaborative product between Russia and Vietnam. Only one ship, bearing hull number 381, was previously constructed and is currently in service with the 4th Regional Fleet.

However, this time the vessels will be equipped with domestically produced weapons such as naval guns, anti-ship missiles, and electronic systems. Reviving this project will accelerate the modernization of small surface combatants across our five naval regions

To counter the threats posed by our long-standing enemy, we have adopted similar measures to theirs. As they build artificial islands and establish maritime militia forces, we too have taken comparable actions. Allow me to introduce Vietnam’s first unsinkable aircraft carrier, named Thuyen Chai
Island.

Russia and Vietnam conducted exercises at Cam Ranh Port to locate distressed submarines resting on the seabed. The drills involved the Russian Project 636.3 submarine *Ufa* and the Project 21300 *Delfin* rescue vessel *Igor Belousov*, as well as the Vietnamese Project 636.1 submarine *Ho Chi Minh* and the multi-purpose search-and-rescue vessel *Yet Kieu*. According to the exercise scenario, the *Ufa* and the *Ho Chi Minh* simulated an emergency situation. Rescue vessels from both nations located and inspected the submarines using remotely operated deep-sea vehicles. The crew of the *Igor Belousov* deployed the *Pantera Plus* underwater vehicle to inspect the submarine, while Vietnamese rescue teams carried out similar operations on the Russian submarine.

Nice loadout, any idea what the projected tonnage of this class is?

The VCM AShM, these are based on Kh-35?

- In reality, VCM does not rely entirely on Kh-35 technology. We developed it with assistance from Israel, and Vietnamese spy successfully brought components of the subsonic anti-ship missile back to Vietnam (I am not at liberty to disclose the name of the country)

- The ship's displacement is expected to be under 3,000 tons. We have mastered the air defense missile system based on missiles from the SPYDER system; the Israelis agreed to sell a portion of the technology so that we could develop a short-range air defense missile based on the Derby and Python. Russia and the West will not agree to sell technology if you purchase in small quantities. You can see the TLDK-1 Ground-to-Air missile as a project intentionally made public at last year, as shown in the picture below.

Currently, our fleet lacks ships equipped with medium-range air defense missiles effective up to 50 km, which makes it very difficult to intercept enemy aircraft and UAVs attacking the naval task force
