Afghanistan as a modern state has never existed. All it was is a loose bundle of peoples who accepted Kabul's pre-eminence but most everyday decision making remained with the feriously independant minded tribes. In such a loose constellation Kabul edicts mattered little. As long as this remained the order the fragmented ethnic, religious groups could all live under this umbrella.

However after 1970s you might call it globalism arrived at the doors of this medieval society and thus began the nearly 50 years of instability and wars which date back to early 1970s when the king left the country.

Its best this Imperial Russian/British Empire created zone bites the dust these past 40 years have proven that Afghanistan has to be dominated by stronger neighbors otherwise its bloch in this key region of the world the only chance Afg had was the PDPA in the 80s or the monarch prior to 73 but it seems The Kabulis just want to pinch its neighbors on the Durand line issue like Pakistan or Iran at times

All the dams, roads, bridges, government buildings, behemoth parliament building and a colossal highway stretching from Chabahar port in Iran all the way to Kabul is gone, all is now lost to Taliban's. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

A bad investment, perhaps?
No wonder they are mad...
